Orlando’s bid to become a #MLB city is taking another step forward as Pat Williams (who brought the city the #Magic) seeks funding for a $1.7 billion dollar ballpark Williams says time is now. Whether it’s the #Rays or an expansion team — Orlando is the best spot for baseball

Not basketball related but it’s still related to the magic the city needs an MLB team too imagine the attraction it’s going to bring 🤯

Yeah I’m not holding my breath.

I wish the Rays would at least consider it, have a meeting. It’s clear it won’t work in St. Pete and it’s also clear Tampa won’t build them one. But doesn’t seem like ownership is entertaining it, at least not publicly.

Probably easier to get to Orlando from Tampa than St Pete honestly lol. I-4 is I-4 though.

Zero chance MLB has a team in Orlando and Tampa. It’s one TV market.

I4 is so messed up there is nowhere good to build a stadium.

Just move the Rays to Tampa and get them out of St. Pete. It’s at least a 40 minute difference coming from Orlando.

I love it! Put the new stadium in the downtown sports plex. Connect Sunrail with Brightline and bring all of Central Florida to support the Orlando Rays. If you build it, they will come!

The Rays made great efforts to have the team split their home games between Montreal and St. Pete. This idea was preposterous. They should split time with Orlando.

Other than that, Orlando is not getting a team.
