  1. Going into the playoffs I was sure HB was coming back. I am now quite certain that he will not be coming back. He’s a nice player and great person but we have now confirmed the playoffs are not his thing (warrior fan friends were telling me this before the series). I can tell you this sums up the feeling of most Kings fans. If he takes a significant discount after twice receiving outsized contracts I guess that could change.

Trey Lyles needs to come back. We want him and he wants us. I think that deal will get done at a fair price. Delly could come back since he’s like a player/coach and won’t cost much. If Terrence Davis comes back I’ll be shocked. He’s a very poor man’s Malik Monk and we have Malik Monk.

As far as draft goes, I don’t really know the guys around at 24 so why not Kris Murray. It’s feels gimmicky but if he’s Keegan twin then you know he’s a high character guy and that matters to Monte.

As far as free agents go Cam Johnson seems like a great fit but competition will be fierce. I will also die on the hill that if the Kings could get Chuma, they can fix his three and his defensive versatility would be very valuable for us (health notwithstanding). We also can use any ferocious rebounder after the Looney debacle

The biggest areas to improve though are within the Kings themselves. If De’aaron can become a 35% 3 point shooter, he’s at least a 2nd team all NBA guy. 38% and he’s a legit MVP candidate because he will be unguardable. Keegan needs to work on creating his own shot and being a better rebounder and Sabonis has to learn to shoot an open 15-17 footer. The way the warriors let him take was embarrassing but they were right to do so just by seeing the fear in his eyes being wide open.

Great video and the most the most exciting and fun season in forever.

  2. Kris Murray will not be available at pick #24. I would be shocked if Kris Murray slides past Golden State @ #19.

I think Trayce Jackson-Smith is seriously in play @ #24. GM Monte McNair "prefers" older draft prospects and has that Midwestern work ethic that we have all seen in Haliburton, Mitchell and Murray. Plus, TJS does a lot of the same things that Sabonis does which may fix the drop in the offense when Sabonis goes to the bench. Brandon Podziemski, Jaime Jacquez and Jalen Bridges are my targets @ #38.
