As fans talk about a quieter Chase Center vibe, the local outlet checked out the tech execs and venture capitalists who line the court at Dubs games.

Techies killing the vibe of chase and the bay lmao
E40 is a tech leader now?
All this trashing the tech community when it’s tech that turned this team around. Go look up what Joe Lacob did.
And we do get non-tech celebs, you’re just not going to see as many entertainment celebs as you would in LA or NY for obvious reasons.
Celebs don’t live in the Bay my friend.
Funny we never heard all this complaining last year when we were winning at home
” He seemingly accompanied Rob Lowe, arguably the biggest celebrity at Game 1 on Tuesday. Lowe was seen earlier that day in LA marching in support of the WGA writers strike. ”
Rob Lowe left the picket line just to come to the game? What a fan.
I’d like a lot of them more if they’d wear the shirts.
Nobody cares who these bums are. Just if you’re going to sit court side, watch the dang game and cheer for the team.
**We had the 3rd best home record in the league this season and 2nd best last year!** But suddenly the Chase Center fans aren’t good enough because it’s all techies who don’t actually cheer or care about basketball. LOL get out of here with that garbage.
I know it’s a side effect of tech but I feel like one of the major problems is that a lot of fans are just priced out of even attending games. My partner and I can’t spend $800 to go see a game.
I hate the tech vibe too, but the NBA partnering with gambling companies is the bigger vibe-killer to those who know what rigged games look like.
Sorry, but it isn’t the techies pricing you out, the standard price for my seats for round 2 was $360 prepaid per seat since I am a season ticket holder. Playoff games are more expensive, cheaper games are preseason and value games during the season. You can try radio call in raffles and warriors raffles for tickets. There was also cheap seat promos from the dub club. Those are some ideas. Also I am not a techie, I do work a 7am-4pm shift 5 days a week. Games aren’t cheap.
I bet they don’t care about the game as much as us (Keyboard) fans. lol
I noticed a lot of grins Court side during warriors games they all look grumpy and unimpressed.
Nerds!!!!!! (in Ogres’ voice from ROTN)
Do we expect regular fans to be sitting in courtside now? Courtside has always been about business (even celebs usually get their seats with some quid pro quo deal).
Yeah they should really have a system in place to only let in real, long term fans.
A quiz before entering the arena would be good.
If you can’t name 10 players on the team, entry denied.
If you don’t know what a screen is, entry denied.
If you don’t know run TMC, entry denied.
Then sink 5 free throws in a row. You have 3 minutes to achieve this. Can’t? Entry denied.

One of the guys highlighted (Owen Van Nata) has had court side seats since like 2005 at Oracle. You can see if him in photos next to the opponents bench at Oracle. He’s a huge fan and loves basketball. Weird he got called out
Why doesn’t anyone else talk about how regular ass people can’t afford tickets? The two games I’ve been to at Chase were because of raffles. And honestly idk if I’d go again because the nosebleed seats suck way harder at Chase than at Oracle.
I just want the arena to be louder and wear their shirts lol
We wear flipflops here in SF. Fuck that noise
What I wonder most is who’s the kid who was always in the court side this past season. Wasn’t even able to afford a regular season ticket myself lol
BOOOOOO.
I always wanted to go a game since 2013 but like damn it’s just not worth it. paying nfl price tickets for one of 41 shorter games at home? plus the costs of getting there, buying overpriced snacks and stuff, leaving. it’s just not worth it and I’d rather watch on TV or online the rest of my life
I’m going to my first ever warriors home game tonight. I’ll be loud enough to make up for all of them.
Every team’s courtside seats are a reflection of the city’s local industry/economic drivers.
