[Kevin O’Connor] “Out of respect, you gotta let the coach make that adjustment.” This is Giannis’ mindset. Right or wrong, he’s not the type to overrule. Bucks should hire a coach who will micromanage and make those decisions on the fly. The biggest name that fits the description is Nick Nurse.

Nick will be perfect with this bucks team. They have two of the best help defenders along with one of, if not the best perimeter defenders out there. They are going to be impossible to score against
And if bucks fans (and us) are worried about minutes distribution, he has shown to manage them well under a good team. In our championship season our top starters only played 34 mpg in the regular season. I think this year there was a big disconnect between winning games and developing players, which eventually led to his firing. We needed all of the starters minutes to win close games and the bench just couldn’t be trusted.
Kawhi had to make the adjustment against the Bucks though? Giannis has to take that step.
Budenholzer got fired because the Bucks FO felt that he didn’t make enough “adjustments”. That key word let’s me know that Nurse is already on his way to Milwaukee and it’s a done deal that he’s their new coach.
Nick is their next coach. They are still having nightmares of losing 4 straight after being up 2 because the Raptors in 2019 because 1 coach made a bunch of adjustments and 1 made none.
On the other hand, Kawhi overruled Nurse by insisting he guard Giannis after the team lost the first two games.
This adjustment changed the entire series.
I’m not super familiar with Nurse (I’m a bucks fan) but it seems half the bucks fanbase either REALLY wants him or REALLY hates him and wants him nowhere near the team. Besides the high minutes concerns people have brought up is there anything that actually justifies the resentment towards Nurse or is it just bitterness from the Raptors playoff run?
If NN goes to bucks, make sure there’s a clause he will play the youngsters
