Honestly, I expected things to go this way, I told my brother before game 2 we are probably going to get blown out but I won’t be worried about that. Warriors were going to play desperate and Kerr is a great coach, they were going to make adjustments and I doubted Ham is on that level to counter them in the moment. The true test is game 3, back at home, and with time for Ham to respond to what the Warriors did in game 2. We are moving past the feeling out phase of the series and now we get to see who has the fortitude to impose their will and execute consistently.

There are a lot of realistic adjustments which can be made.
Shot less jumpers – Warriors push the pace of missed jumpers leading to easy points before Lakers Defense is set. This is particularly important when the offense is not playing well. If you are going to miss a shot don’t have it lead to easy points the otherway. Reeves, Schroder, DLo, Rui and Vando need to drive more on open three looks. Even if they miss the shot, it gives easier oportunities for Offensive boards and creates opportunities for cutters. They will also get to the line more.
The otherside is hurrying back on Defense. Either you need to be sprinting back or contesting an offensive boards and slowing them down that way.
Don’t double Curry – Curry is too good of a passer and finds the open man. Warriors are an excelent passing team and will find an open man on 4 on 3 offense.
AD and LeBron need to dominate the boards and paint when warriors go Green & Green – That line up is too good offensively. When they go to it, it needs to be punished in a realistic way. AD and LeBron have the size to do dominate that line up, the just need to put the effort in.

I think you are whistling past the graveyard. If we lose either of the next two games we will likely lose the series. The Warriors do not take every other game off and play hard when they feel like it. They are laser focused on defending their title. A big win like last night is the sort of thing that convinces the other team that they can beat you. Lakers fans are a bit overconfident right now.

It’s can’t be one extreme or the other, don’t be a doomer but let’s also not like act everything is fine. Our best player that’s supposed to be a top 5 is taking games off every other one. That’s an issue, let’s not act like it’s not just because of doomers. This is the playoffs and he needs to figure it out.

Remember everyone was worried when we wouldn’t win a chip if he couldn’t shoot well and we just played amazing defense and had other guys knock down shots and we ran through the playoffs with relative ease 🤣🤣

That’s why I’m not worried. I’ll take another 1-1 start with HC advantage. We play so much better at home now with this new squad. Every fan attending G3&4 has to bring the energy. Our team plays better when we got the crowd into it. We can beat the defending champs.

I waited until much of the hate died down before I thought it was prudent to post, but without Davis we aren’t even in the playoffs.
He is going to bounce back, be excellent again, and all will be forgiven by those who complained, but it was not anywhere near solely his fault. It was a total team effort losing this game, barring James’ performance.
AD is a solid center piece in the paint and he had a slightly off night defensively, and a real tough offensive evening, but we got a split, which is all that matters.
He is an amazing player, and folks just need to pump the brakes.
I wonder how many of the people complaining, as fervently as they are, are under 40yrs old.
Any guesses? I am going to say 90% of the “AD sucked last night” posts are from that demographic.
