The moment I lost faith in Nurk was half way through this season. I always thought of him as a quality starter level big as long as he’s healthy. But this season it just clicked that I’m always hoping with this guy. Hoping he can stay healthy. Hoping he can play every game with the right mindset. Hoping he can consistently finish around the basket.
Nurk was unavailable the post season we made it to WCF and the year we got swept by pelicans. At his best I still think that he’s a force to be reckoned with (top 10-15 center in NBA), but he’s not always at his best; he’s inconsistent. Still appreciate what he’s given the city over the past couple of years. People forget how the Bosnian Beast completely revitalized the Blazers once he was traded for plum dawg. Will always respect the dude but it’s best to try to get a change at the 5 spot (Ik that’s easier said than done).
