The only reason this game was so hard for the Knicks is because they didn't handle game 1.
Game 2, Heat playing with house money.. Up 1-0 on the road. Jimmy is out. They're not suppose to win.
Those 3's were going in and they played free. They played hard.
The next hardest game the Knicks will play is game 4 when they attempt to go up 3-1.
They're taking game 3.. If they go back to NYK 2-2 then game 5 & 6 will be tough as well.

All of these games will be close…. chill and enjoy the playoffs
Immanuel Quickley needs to show up. His value has taken a considerable hit in these playoffs. He is a total no show.
RJ was a revolving door on D in the early 4th..he couldn't keep anyone in front of him
Knicks struggled to get a win against a miami team without jimmy, herro , Oladipo. Yall had Scott foster on your side tho. Heat in 6🔥🔥
For those that are wondering why RJ wasn't out there. I think it was defensive reasons. Not saying the Heat shooting those 3's were RJ's fault but Grimes and Hart and a little bit quicker defending against the Heat's screens. At this point in the playoffs it is about the team's success.

People thought that Fatigue would set in on Miami, for that to happen we have to up our tempo.
We couldn't defend the three because we couldn't stop them from driving to the basket.the points in the paint opened up those 3s.
Keys to winning game 3:
Stop guard penetration
Limit turnovers
Win the rebounding battle
Bench production
Defensive spacing
Hart has to be more aggressive on offense
The criticism for RJ was justified during regular season, but he showed up when it counts during the Playoffs. IQ deserves the same criticism now, because the team needs him and he appears to be scared.🤔
When we went small we had Randle, Brunson, Hart, Grimes, and Barrett.
RJ has been locked in and focused since game 3 of the Cavs series!! So many Knick fans where doubting him. Let this young man continue to grow!!
It's clear why, RJ wasn't in at the end of the game… we needed to defend the point of attack … primarily with Gabe…. He was single handling keeping the Heat in the game …. when Grimes came in .. we went on that 20 to whatever run ..
We just need to play small ball, I think, to help defend the heat more effectively.

RJ played great.. showing up with a lot of heart 💙 but, TIBBS decided GRIMES has to be honored at the 3 which created creases and space FOR BRUNSON since he was taking us home
The Knicks finally had a full team practice for the first time in these playoffs! We had 3 ankle injuries!!! By the next game we will be fully healthy and have couple practice with our whole team!!! It's a new day! Now we are in the conference semi finals and we have yet to play our best basketball it's getting scary.

Im glad we won, but i can't say i've ever been more upset and discouraged about a win… Thibs getting out coached, our players being shells of themselves IQ, Grimes (on offense) Obi, Knicks attacking the zone by driving to the basket into the zone????????????? Knicks looking unprepared for the zone, Knicks consistently making bad reads on defense leaving guys for wide open 3s, Knicks missing wide open 3s except RJ and Brunson… Knicks consistently getting beat by a weak ass PnR the Heat run every single possession, how………………
If Brunson didn't put on the cape, this would've been a loss.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if we played better in Miami, i think the Garden is too much for our own players, especially when its filled with former players and celebrities from all walks of life.
Lets be honest, Brunson was horrendous on defense last night, it could've been his ankle, but he has to be better…
We're 3 wins away from the ECF, our "others" need to step up, we can't be playing guys 40+ minutes every game. Grimes played well on defense and Ihart played phenomenal, but our bench has been a shell of itself, basically the entire playoffs…
We gotta stop trapping everyone we should only maybe be trapping butler no need to be trapping outside of that
if RJ hits his open shots which will always be wide open btw..we will have a great chance to win but thats not always going to be the case.

I think the reason why Thibs went with a more defensive team with the last 5 minutes is because at that point the KNICKS were close enough in the score that Thibs probably felt that Brunson who was red hot and Randle with a hustle Hart and Hartinstein with 3D Grimes was the five to finish with and it was a good call cause we won. RJ HAD A GREAT GAME it's not about that it was about the personal Miami had on the floor.
