We've all seen this movie before
It kinda looks like harden needs to be the focal point of the offense or he's not as effective. Also, Jaylen Brown took him on in games 2 and 3, and Jaylen is way better than Harden right now (and even when he was MVP because defense exists, but apparently not in the mind of NBA fans) and he can obviously shut him down when he wants to.
Put Jaylen Brown up on the monitor. Tatum had 2 more points but Jaylen was by far the better player tonight and he was the one to guard Harden so it works better to show him juxtaposed next to Harden.
Rob Williams is the fastest passer in the league. He had so many touch passes like that one they showed. He's incredibly aware of what's going on around him at most times.

It's always seemed to me that once teams figure out the way to defend Harden in the playoffs, he can't seem to figure out a way to counter that. Above all else, it's just the Celtics showing that they have more firepower than the Celtics.
I thought tonight really showcased the difference in depth. Its remarkable how almost every player on Boston is capable of both shooting and playing defense. It made it really hard to find a matchup for Philly to exploit.

James Harden has been throwing playoff games since that okc vs heat championship series. The man owes someone from his college days. This is not happening for no reason.
Harden is playing like Harden again. No defense and on offense you'd rather PJ Tucker taking the shots over Harden. Hopefully Harden doesn't get more than the veterans minimum in his next contract because Russel Westbrook is better than him right now.
4:22 look at the shot clock . That’s too much time for the Sixers to start double teaming Tatum so that the Celtics can move the ball and get a high quality offense possession. They need to double late in the shock clock that way the Celtics are more likely to force a bad shot. Celtics did this the entire game. The Sixers just don’t know how to think through defensive possessions.
And Doc Rivers is definitely getting fired after the Sixers lose this series and it’s much deserved.
What baffles me is how Harden can look so awful and sloppy on a bad night. His turnovers and misses are almost comical. And I don't think he's the best fit for Embiid's game. It's like they can't both have a great night.
Same Sixers same story, Ben Simmons was the issue before supposedly, now Harden is the issue, but it's amazing how Tobias Harris the other max contract player continues to fly under the radar for his poor play and inconsistency. It's been this way since he became a Sixer
