    It wasn’t Paul’s hamstring. It was the 27 misses, which is one of the most improbable statistical outcomes in sports history.

    The team shot 36.2% from 3 that year. The odds of missing 27 times in a row was 186,141 to 1. (For context the odds are 115,300 to 1 of going to the hospital for a pogo-stick related injury)

    If we’d averaged 36% during that stretch, we make 9 of them and win the game by double digits.

    This is what I don’t like about the NBA… the playoffs are too many games and it ends up being survival of the fittest.
