The Playoffs Just Changed EVERYTHING…

The 2023 NBA offseason is going to be very interesting, especially for the Sacramento Kings, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Milwaukee Bucks.

  1. As a Bucks fan, I think Bud’s firing is the only offseason change that can happen. I feel awful abt the tragedy Bud suffered from during the Heat series, but he always had these timeout call and adjustment issues. I wish the best for him. Hopefully they go after Nurse while he’s available

  2. Not sure what you’re talking about with Middleton. He’s a horrible fit for sac kings. They need defenders who can score. Not scorers who can’t defend. Really bad take bro

  3. Been a supporter of your channel for years, but the clickbait titles and thumbnails have gotten out of control. Really not a fan

  4. Sabonis is only 27. Trey Lyles is almost a more notable free agent for the Kings than HB. Someone doesn’t watch the Kings enough…

  5. Barnes for Middleton wont be considered for the bucks. The picks along side that trade arent gonna be worth much, more importantly, Khris is their only hope to get young, therefor extending Giannis prime window

  6. The last thing I want, as a fan of stars being able to complete, is for Giannis to get the same situation Dame got in Portland or Luka is getting in Dallas. Giannis deserves a good co-star. Maybe the new CBA will force a quality player to think about playing somewhere like Milwaukee with Giannis so he doesn't have to leave.

  7. The Cavs can make moves because they have good yiung talent, the Kings are far more limited because they're so top heavy and their top players are borderline all stars, at best.

The Bucks are getting screwed by the new CBA and having a bunch of free agents this year. They probably need to sign and trade Middleton, Lopez and probably move Jrue for a real second star like Beal or Dame.

  8. Kings need to get a 3 and D wing and a backup center who can protect the paint. Would love to see them make a move for OG without giving up key players but that’s definitely a reach. Maybe try getting Mitchell Robinson or brook lopez to protect the paint. Those changes will definitely elevate this team

  9. I’d love to see the kings pick up kuzma. Not sure why, but I feel like his fit would work with that city and team

  10. Crazy move – Trade Giannis. Look at what Utah got for Gobert, what Brooklyn got for Durant and expiring Kyrie. The haul for Giannis would be legendary and you’d probably get enough good young talent that you’d barely take a step back. Who could even afford him? Maybe OKC? What would they give up?

  11. Made a 4 team deal for the bucks to get dame , which I believe makes since for all teams involved.
    Bucks Recieve:
    Dame
    Tim Hardaway Jr

    Mavs Recieve:
    Mike Conley
    Khris Middelton

    T-Wolves Recieve:
    Jrue Holiday

    Blazers Recieve:
    Davis Bertans
    Maxi Kleber
    Tauren Prince
    Grayson Allen
    Josh Green
And multiple 1st and 2nd round picks and pick swaps (order of most pick value given up from most to least goes , Mavs , T-Wolves, then Bucks.

  12. Khris Middleton is 32, injury prone, and too inconsistent. He either plays like prime MJ or playoff Dillon Brooks, rarely ever an in between

  13. Personally, I am not sure who would take Richaun Holmes. Yes, when he is playing well he is a capable starter who can provide 8-12ppg and 8-10rpg. But for 2 years he has been a negative asset to the Kings. So unless he is a salary matching piece in a bigger trade, I don't see them getting him gone.

Granted, most Kings fans want Trey Lyles brought back. He proved himself invaluable as a backup 4 and small ball 5. Either bring Barnes back or go for Kyle Kuzma.

I am not sure Kris Middleton would come to Sacramento. It is rare for them to get a FA with that level of a pedigree. Someone who is obviously the second best player on his team (when healthy).

So, Kuzma might be a more realistic target. Of which I think he raises the ceiling of the Kings because he is a better all around player than Barnes. More consistent and able to score in that 18-25ppg range on a consistent basis. With Sabonis as the 3rd option on offense, I believe it does create a big 3 for the Kings.

The question will be can they find a more consistent backup 5 for Sabonis? I don't see a lot of options for them to target that upgrade over Alex Len or Holmes. Len is capable in the right system as a backup 5, but he isn't a great rim protector at this point. (When Kevin Huerter is leading the team in blocks in the post season, that isn't a great thing. Though I applaud his effort).

I don't want to see the Kings over correct. Because most of this roster should be brought back. Retain the chemistry they have and had this last season. If they can find 1 or 2 new guys who can provide upside for them on key positions that raise the ceiling, I say go for it. But after that, I think it needs to be run back next season and see what they have.

But they have to worry about next off season as well and trying to keep Sabonis. Making sure they don't over spend this off season and make it so they can't afford to keep him. Because the Kings are not a team that can do what the Warriors or Lakers or Celtics or other big market teams can do and run with a team way, way over the luxury tax every year. For a year or two they could if there is the possibility of a championship. But for 5+? I don't think Vivek is willing to do that when the Kings are still a pretty small market compared to most in the NBA. (Though it is double what it was during the Webber years as the county and surrounding areas have exploded in population as SF and Oakland have gotten too expensive for many people).
