Respect for Walker. He stays ready even when not getting PT

  2. cypherdust

Bro can defend against Curry, Poole and Klay. He’s the X factor

  3. HannTwistzz

ill admit I was wrong about him hes been good this game surprising on defense as well can keep up with the screens.

  4. ZedsBreadBaby

I’m convinced. Give him Austin’s minutes.

  5. OkBookkeeper3373

Was screaming for him to play over Beasley when he was in the shooting slump

Ham finally giving Lonnie a real chance again is great to see

  6. Anise_23

This can’t be the same Darvin Ham from the regular season

  7. aaronjaffe

Yeah, great move. He’s the third best point of attack defender on the team, and helps balance out that lack of quickness on the perimeter. Reaves and especially Dlo are athletically limited. It was making AD have to be in two places at once.

Going to Lonnie instead of TBJ to try and correct that was excellent. He’s actually a much better defender in this matchup, and gives you a lot more than Troy on offense. Good move coaching staff.

I wish I could upvote this a thousand times.

  9. andrewcampos

His athleticism alone makes him worth playing. Glad they made the change.

  10. SnapsOnPetro45

I said he should put Lonnie in over Beasley and Brown like 3 weeks ago and I got downvoted to hell 😂

  11. valjayson3

Team is so deep that anyone can become our ace up the sleeve

  12. Olliefnt

I have up admit I was wrong about him he showed up played great defence at stretched the floor great game deserved his minutes and deserves to keep getting them

  13. Slurrricane-Eastwood

Now get Bamba out of street clothes

  14. username4bluedit

he’s money from three and he can penetrate the paint just as good as anyone on the roster.

  15. annoyedboy671

Permanently above Brickley in the rotation from now on please

  16. YeeezusWept

This new lakers roster is so well constructed. It feels like they can pull out a player for any scenario or situation

  17. tarlapan

Just replaced tbj and Beasley in the rotation

  18. bagustin8

He made his case! Great job navigating screens.

  19. NoPin5154

Darvin ham pulled one out of his ass chucking Lonnie out there we were down 6 when we or him n the entire sun begged for the benching when it grew to 11. Darvin said fuck that called his shot and the 22-2 run ensued.

  20. Hocapoca

Thank god we had Lonnie in our backpocket for some fresh legs. Possibly a season-saving move tonight.

  21. Icy_Increase3376

I did not think he had it in him, great adjustments! And we got el cuatro back in the rotation

  22. Fragrant-Weather-606

About dam time they try out Lonnie the force

  23. Winter-Gur-9762

I never knew his defense was this good..

  24. swiftwilly321

What does Steph need to do to overtake Loonie?

  25. LeArshad

Ham finally found the coaching notes in his pockets he been searching for

  26. Accomplished_Duty_84

Lonnie is MUCH more athletic than Reaves. He can keep up with Klay, and even better, he can attack him on offense.

  27. Js_On_My_Yeet

Lonnie actually played meaningful minutes before garbage time. Been telling everybody, Lonnie is deceptively quick and if he can improve on his defense he’ll be a solid 3&D player. Tonight he showed it.

  28. swampcreature511

Give him more playing time, even if he messes up sometimes.

The playing time Beaseley got should have gone to Lonnie during the regular season.

  29. RICHUNCLEPENNYBAGS

All those posts about him being a bad coach who doesn’t make any adjustments are aging poorly.

  30. random-50

He’s a decent player, got shafted by the trade.

I’m glad he’s getting in the shop window. Deserves a decent payday somewhere.

  31. Lonnie has always seemed good-spirited and understanding of his situation regarding starting and play time. Hopefully he can get more minutes as the series goes on.

  32. Baals_Deep

Walker, Shaquille and Christy was actually pretty dope

  33. T-P-T-W-P

Shortening the rotation to Dennis and Rui only off the bench and giving Lonnie the 3rd man tryout this game was a really good move by Ham. He has not been a good coach this season, but this was a necessary adjustment and that’s all you need from an NBA coach on a LeBron led team, one good decision per series and not making major in game screw ups.

The Warriors don’t actually have some big adjustment to make, they are so small that they can’t push and pull lineups, it’s really just hoping they can outshoot the opposition and making changes to how they distribute and move the ball, their rotation and it’s makeup is what it is. Ham’s next big test is how he handles Denver’s length, they run 3 6’8 or taller players at all times, an incredible contrast to this series. Rui and JV haven’t played much at all together yet and they will likely have to share the floor for significant minutes should Lakers and Denver advance unless the plan is to play LeBron and AD both 42+ minutes for potentially 7 games straight, which is obviously not advisable for a 38 year old and player as injury/fatigue prone as AD.
