Since the Heat in 2011 you say? Hmm I wonder who the face of that team was, could be a trend here…

  2. StopThrowingShit

Subtract the garbage time free throws and it’s even worse

I don’t care what team you are, if the refs aren’t going to call these games straight up, no team has a shot against the Lakers. Someone in the front office needs to take a fine and raise hell.

And yet they say that the playoffs are about physicality ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  5. StinkmeanerIV

Kerr needs to call this out instead of being so polite all the damn time.

i understand the discrepancy. however, the lakers are number one for FT’s attempted while the warriors are dead last in the same stat. just food for thought.

Play the game man stop the foul baiting bullshit

  8. aBoyHasNoUzername

I’m shocked this has happened before

I say let the girls play for a quarter and call their own fouls. Refs can go peg each other in the locker room for 12 minutes. Would probably be more enjoyable to watch the game that way.

Regular season rankings for fouls committed:

    – Lakers: 1st, Warriors: 28th

Regular season rankings for free throws attempted:

    – Lakers: 1st, Warriors: 30th

Total free throws attempted in this year’s playoffs:

    – Warriors: 1st (215)

    – Lakers: 2nd (213)

It’s over, the curtain has been dropped, the league will never, ever, let Steph have more rings than LeBron.

  12. Yall should see the lakers sub… they say warriors are dirty and fouling lol

  13. SLC-insensitive

Everyone seems to be forgetting that half of the warriors field goals are three pointers and that’s probably why they aren’t getting fouled

  14. yay-wooooo

almost like you guys shoot 50 threes a game and are scared to go into the paint

  15. wolfishnickelsyr

The FT charity was on full display again today

  16. origsiomai

Maybe shooting 92700 jump shots won’t give you much free throws? Idk maybe just me.

  17. sangius99forever

One team jacking up threes and floaters and the other is driving to the basket and trying post moves.

  18. pinkiebear

Laker fans not being able to admit they are getting a ridiculous whistle is hilarious. I’m sorry but if my team shot 40 fucking free throws to the other teams 11 I could openly admit we got way more favorable calls.

  19. oscypek23

All you do is shoot 3s and expect to have the same amount of FTs as the team with most FT per game.

I’m a bucks fan. But this season the lakers shot the 2nd most free throws. Why? They’re big, but bad at shooting so they attack the paint. The warriors shot the least ft. Why? You guys throw up a lot of threes. Lakers allowed the least fts defensively, while the warriors were #22nd in fts allowed. Combine all this, a large disparity is not at all surprising

    Through 3 games:

    Lakers +44 FTA

    Warriors +40 3PA

    Hmmm…..
