[RocketsWire] NBA analyst and former player Kenny Smith isn’t holding back when it comes to his views on a hypothetical Bulls-Rockets matchup from the 1990s. “We would have beat their ass,” he says.

History is written by the victors. NBA fan retconning the past doesn’t get to say shit.

I mean he has always held this take, rightfully. CHI didn’t have an answer for Dream until they got Rodman and could content the paint better.

Not a surprising take since the early 90s teams always had a positive record against Jordan’s Bulls throught regular season.

We had the best center in the league at a time in the NBA when centers were the most important position, and the Bulls had Luc freakin Longley.

It would have been entertaining and I don’t think it’s a sweep or anything like that but Olajuwon would have carried the Rockets on his back successfully.

In fact, it’s a real damn shame that never happened because imagine how that would have bumped Dream up on the all-time rankings if he had a finals like that on his resume.
