The New York Knicks LOSE Game 1 to the Miami Heat 108-101 and now trail the series 1-0. The Knicks have a MUST win game at MSG Tuesday night. Jalen Brunson & RJ Barrett lead the way but it was not enough as they collapsed at the end.

can't shoot the 3 and forcing shots in the lane. the heat forced the knicks to play their game.
So many unfortunate careless plays. We need Randle cause he attracts the defenders away from our scorers even when he doesn’t shoot well! Nevertheless I was at the garden and it was still electric!
After halftime Miami made adjustments we didn’t but with that being said losing 7 without Randle. If we had Randle we win by 12-15pts easily
All of a sudden you guys think you're a really good basketball team just because you you beat Cleveland. Miami heat beat the number one seed in 5 games. Knicks fans are delusional if you think you're going to win this series. Nobody on that team has any playoff experience you guys are going to crumble 🔥 gets turned up

Spoelesta completely out-coached Thibodeau. All the Heat want to do is drive to the basket with no intention shooting a 2 with the hope the defense collapses so they can pass the ball out and shoot a 3. All the Heat want to do is shoot 3’s. And Thibs just coaches players to always protect the paint and try to double team players whenever they drive. He won’t change either. Heat are going to have wide open 3’s all series and they will win.
Why did Brunson not pass to RJ knowing Butler was injured? Terrible all around. So ugly. The worst game i've seen so far. This sets the tone going forward.

Barrett needs to go to his midrange wayyyyy more often. Shot was falling from mid range he needs to focus on those instead of chucking threes or contested drives

A lot of basketball fans don't understand white hot playoffs style of the game. And the 305 likes it that way. You realize that NBA teams doesn't play the same against the Miami Heat. It's funny Richie complaint, only the Same way Miami Heat has been playing since 1995.
Wasn’t that much of a concerning loss. We did a lot of unusual things. For one, Brunson didn’t hit any jump shots. Two, rest of team couldn’t hit a three. Three, our coaching in 4th quarter was very poor, which hasn’t been a problem the past few months. Four, Randle was out and has become very apparent why toppin doesn’t play a lot. Anyone thinking toppin is the answer and to bench is Randle isn’t watching. Toppin got lost on almost every defensive rotation, and showed confidence to shoot from three but hesitant to go off the dribble. Just have to regroup and watch the film to make sure these small mistakes don’t happen again. If we didn’t have these few errors outcome would be different. And also free throws like bruh

If Jimmy doesn’t play in Game 2 Knicks may win. Maybe. If Randle plays then I’m pretty sure Jimmy will play no matter what. At this point the Heat is playing unbelievable basketball. The vets and “role players” are balling. I mean Vincent and Caleb Martin are so active and shot really well. Mix in Max and Bam doing work and they are a completely different beast in the post season. It’s impressive they can afford to lose a 20pt a night scorer in Herro and still be out there ballin like that. Hat’s off to the Heat. Heat in 7.
It's hard not to think without Randle hurt. 3s a problem yes. IQ Grimes? Once in a while not having Randle doesn't hurt. Randle likely would have calmed the team down! Having Randle as an enforcer would have helped! Missed too many shots!

I think you saw young players in a second round playoff game for the first time, not having cool minds in the later parts of the game. Too many bad decisions offensively. It's a new situation for them and they'll probably play better the next game.
Randle is crucial for a Knicks win of the series. With his load in offense and also the Heats need to adjust their defense to him on the court, it'll open up for the other players.
Heat out-coached the Knicks. They stopped Knicks successful offense pretty much after the first quarter and Knicks, without Randle, didn't have an answer when Heat took away their first, favorite option on playing offense.
