Teams don't do that, as they shouldn't. Not only is it damaging to the individual player, it harms your reputation as an organization and could hamper future player and agent relations. So clearly there is a lot more to Brooks and the Grizzlies than poking the LeBron bear in a playoff series and then playing poorly. There is no way that is what set this off. However, you still keep it in house. Don't resign him, but "under any circumstances" should be kept internally.
Lakers should sign him.

I don't like him cause he runs his mouth and didn't back it. nevertheless, I respect him. he is not that talented yet gives 100% for his team every game. I don't condole what he does but I understand what he is trying to be. Memphis did him wrong this time: if you want to cut ties with him, be respectful. he is NOT the major reason you lost.

Grizzlies never put out a statement. The tweet was clearly editorialized for clicks. Bad journalistic integrity to put a out a statement that the organization never confirmed. “ under no circumstances” hurts grizzlies bargaining power too…are y’all stupid.
