The No. 1 seed Milwaukee Bucks took a quick exit from the NBA playoffs, after a Game 5 loss to the No. 8 seed Miami Heat in the first round. Does that mean the season was a failure? Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mike Budenholzer share their thoughts on the idea.

There's a difference between "we didn't win a championship" and "we lost to 8th seed in the 1st round of playoffs".
Deep facts
❤
Giannis is right.
I actually disagree slightly with Giannis. What if you woke up one day and everything was stripped away from you. All the physical abilities how would you cope with that being on your own in the middle of the jungle. No way out!! Are you thinking about how you can protect your family? or are you thinking about survival at all costs. Sometimes there's no clear way through but keeping a rock tough mindset throughout any shortcomings you had or currently have. Your legacy will be tested throughout life forget the money or your current life but think about how you can make a difference too effect your current situation. No matter how your perceived.
That was a provoking question
That reporter needs to come up with more ideas.
Is this the only question he has in his arsenal? Hack.
We need to change how we define failure and success. There's always steps to success. There are always going to be setbacks on your journey to success
Bro making mad bread he can care less if he loses
Spoken like a true Greek !
Bravo
Giannis, Very nicely put!!
The dichotomy here!
One: So we lost! Losing isn't the same thing as failure unless you quit
Two: someone who has clearly quit
He should’ve said a different word. Maybe disappointment
He said you asked me the same question last year
the less emotional budenholzer understands the point of the question
Giannis and Dame would be a nice 1 2 punch
Giannis, he is good guy but you have to fix your shooting motion. Every year people improve but you . Good luck
He got a point. I love Giannis.
Well said.
Wow
Giannis knows the season was a FAILURE the 1 seed loses to a freakin play in team so he can GTFO here with all that attitude aka DEFLECTING
SO fucking refreshing.. jesus. how many people just get up and bust their ass every day.. are they all failures? fuck no. Giannis is a winner and champion and so are all the people out there who work every day to provide for their family.. i love this press conference and I will continue root against giannis the player as a new yorker but respect him as a man.
Spoken with the wisdom of the Greek philosophers.
Do you view your question as a failure? 🔥.
Failure is getting kicked of the team which pays you to make a living! Remember these athletes are doing this for a living! The media is not! That reporter is a failure if he/she loses their job as a reporter! This culture today does not know how to process Ghannis comments because they've never had to think of it in its actual context!…The media spin failure in sports to make sportsmanship in a team sport look non objective! They use the word failure to create division and isolation! Notice the word defeat is never mentioned in sports anymore?
Giannis is very articulate. Well said.
Right On Giannis no failure in sports
Well said sir.
Someone will be fired and or traded after this craziness. That was one of the most embarrassing runs in the playoffs I’ve ever seen from a number one seed team. It makes me think they lost on purpose the way it played out. But I still believe they can make a run for it, but some changes definitely has to be made. Some times it takes the unexpected bench players to win games; especially when the starters aren’t putting out as they should. And I’m saying this as a bucks fan to the bone.
Great stuff Yannis, a champ on and off the court
Great statement by Giannis, BUT this season was a failure.
Ted talk quality
Λεβέντης
Make your free throws and if you see Bud ask him how many timeouts he needs for the off season
1 seed losing to an 8 seed is not a failure, its called an Epic failure.
It was a failure tho
