Julius Randle Effort

When Julius said maybe they want it more, he was projecting his own effort. Dudes in the playoffs for the second time in his career and this is how he plays.

Wow, I didn’t realize how poor his effort was. Thanks

  2. Burningfiresmoke

Yeah that’s bad. Real real bad

  3. jaydog289

This man can’t be shipped off the team soon enough.

  4. GuitarGuy378

Whether it’s here or another team, Julius needs an older vet or two that will get in his face and hold him accountable when he plays like this. DRose is great but he’s not that kinda guy. I miss Taj Gibson

Thank you for putting this together. Randle can drop 60 pts I don’t give a fuck. He needs to give effort on defense. Trade this man immediately, find someone who wants to win all the time

  6. slyguy183

Good thing this is in a meaningless regular season game. Oh what this happened on the most important game of our playoffs in an easily winnable game?

  7. omicron_prime

I defended him all regular season and the entire first round saying how we NEED him to win, but that’s done and I’m done with him. You can’t fucking say “maybe they want it more” ….EXCUSE ME?!?! What kind of fucking competitor says shit like that?? We will never have a meaningful post season run with a player this mentally weak whose fortitude collapses on the biggest stage. This is all I, or anyone in this sub should have to see to know it’s time to move on from this fucking loser.

  8. Mybitchmyhoemyhoemy

I love how this sub acts like he’s not playing hurt

  9. Think-Salamander-508

This needs to be seen by everybody in here. This dude needs to go.

  10. chumboschrute

See ya later randle. No place for you on this team after two shit playoff stints. Idc if we lose but show some fucking heart and fire.

The effort went downhill after game 2. Could be either the injury being aggravated or could be due to that Windhorst claim about the Knicks having an eye on Gianni’s’ situation.

  12. GlassJoseph

We’re getting smoked because Miami contests every pass, every shot and has NOBODY failing to give 100%. We’ve got a dude with bad energy, delaying his defensive transition to look at refs, holding the ball on offense, failing to make cuts. It’s past time to start Obi again. I don’t care if he goes 0-20, at least we know the man wants to win more than protest his hurt fee-fees with the referees.

  13. Truck219

Randle Stans are in irrational shambles right now. To suggest that we couldn’t trade him for some pieces and make the playoffs is a joke. He can’t even be a third option because with effort like that you’re at best playing 4 on 5 on defense. To get rid of Randle and his toxicity is addition by subtraction at this point

  14. BurnerForDaddy

I was at Game 3 in Miami and it’s clear Randle is hurt. He can barely run. Not an excuse but he probably shouldn’t be playing.

  15. IronRhiley

The Miami nights have claimed another

MY GF calls him “that weird one. The one with the fucked up eyes.” She really doesn’t like him, even though she doesn’t really watch basketball.

But she also shits on Aaron Hicks and hated Aroldis Chapman, so there’s something about her savagery that I take seriously.

  17. Dagenius1

Not a Knicks fan but I like Julius Randle and want him to do well in the playoffs and he just doesn’t. Come playoffs he just plays worse overall.

What do fans think of him?

  18. LeftyMode

He should not be on this team next season. Tired of watching this dude play.

  19. Struggle2Real

Funny, I’m not all that mad at Julius.
None of this is new. I’m maybe surprised that people expected plus effort from this man.

Not that it’s an unfair expectation, but rather he has shown us that isn’t what he’s going to put on the court. Again, this isn’t new.

His value is just shot making. That’s it. Pretty literally.

  20. mdillon08

It shows you how mentally soft he is that if rumors of the knicks and Giannis got him giving up on the team.

  21. LexxxSamson

Julius got us to the playoffs after nobody else who would come to would and everyone shit talked NY, you forgot ?

The guy isn’t doing great rn might not be a big playoff game player OBVIOUSLY but we know he’s not a super high caliber all star whose gonna win us rings on his own but he did give a ton of effort to this team.

It sucks to lose a playoff series but ya’ll gotta stop and appreciate a little we’re still building this ain’t the final form and never was gonna be.

  22. moldonhold

This right here is the most frustrating shit to watch as a fan

I don’t care if we lose, I don’t care if we get blown out by 40. But man at least look like you wanna be on the court 5 minutes into the game. Make the runs, contest the shots, and for the love of god put your hands up for the rebounds. Unreal body language

  23. HardOakleyFoul

I just don’t understand how he went from bullying the shit out of Mobley, a dude that’s way bigger than him, to getting outworked by a team of much smaller guys. I just don’t get it. If he played with the same intensity like he did against Cleveland, this series would at least be tied up now.

  24. Alphius247

Tell me you don’t want to win without telling me you don’t want to win, Jules.

  25. richb83

I’ll accept a bad shooting game but not lack of effort, especially in playoffs. He’s out there sulking too. Give his minutes to Obi.

  26. SG_Fuzz

Great analysis- that tells a big part of the story regarding what went wrong and why.

  27. AlPesto

Been saying this for years, but maybe this time I won’t get down voted for it: Randle’s game will always work for regular season and fall apart for playoffs and crunch time of big games because that’s when the league decides to play defense. He can’t consistently create his own shot vs teams playing tough playoff defense like Brunson or Butler can, but he plays like he does. He just doesn’t have the handle for it, but he fancies himself a Lebron James type and demands the half court offense be run through him. It leads to turnovers, bad shot selection etc. Get him off the team now while teams might still be dumb enough to think it’s his ankle that’s the culprit for this poor playoff showing. I’ll take a protected first for him.

  28. wizardofweird

I’m done with him, honestly even if he pulls a 180 and we win out I’ll never trust him. I want him gone this summer baaaaaad

  29. MannyTheSleepy

Julius deserves to rest in these moments. He’s giving everything he has
