Wow he already had a lot of my respect. Now he just gained more. What an amazing human being

High praise. You rarely see this honesty, especially out of an athlete within a sport that values and encourages narcisistic competitiveness.

  4. Expecting some sort of fluff answer but that shit got real. To go through that and have that kind of character, damn. No words… just respect.

Pulling for Lonnie like nobody’s business.

You know the kid is special when you see Spurs fans saying they’re supporting the Lakers solely because of him. Regardless of the outcome, we all should be very glad that we got to see someone as amazing as Lonnie.

Takes such a strong person to come out the way he has after such severe childhood trauma. Whatever helped him whether it be god, religion, family or doctors, the fact he did it means the guy is special. He’s gonna inspire so many more people. Lonnie legend. If he keeps performing, him and Rui gonna be hard to give up.

Man…that photo from last night with Lebron and AD after the game hits so much harder knowing this. We have to keep him. The chemistry on this team makes it so much more fun to watch them succeed, and I’m sure he’s a huge part of that chemistry.

As heavy as that was he’s not alone and LA got him

I read a story about this shortly after we signed him. It’s one of the reasons, the end of the game with AD & Lebron going up to him brought tears to my eyes. Lonnie is incredible.

  13. so much bigger than basketball. this makes me like him even more… and i didn’t think that was possible.
