He loves Fred lol so take what you can from that

Feel like he’d be a good player coach but massive risk considering he has zero coaching experience.

  5. EarthWarping

As an assistant, it’s not a bad thing.

I’d rather give Steve Nash another chance to see what he can do with a roster that isn’t full of drama queens and head cases.

Similar type of “players coach” with more years under his belt.

JJ is tough and won’t belly up if MLSE doesn’t stay in their lane

  8. HungryMugiwara

Would be good to start off as an assistant coach

  9. 1DapperRaptor

I don’t want him anywhere near this roster. Big no. The man is resume chancing for his podcast.

    Dream coaching staff:

    Becky Hammon – Head Coach

    Steve Nash – Assistant Coach

    Jay Wright – Assistant Coach

    Jerry Stackhouse – Assistant Coach

JJ Reddick – Player Development Coach

  11. I like JJ, and he definitely knows the game. I’d love to have him be part of the staff. Head coach might be a gamble… but hell.. the way this team looks now… meh.. why not? Lol

Someone with no coaching experience as our Coach. What can go wrong?

  13. shiftydnm

Idk why he’d do that tbh. He’s killing the media game right now.

  14. Lewro29

I thought people were joking the other day. I respect JJ but I don’t like him. No idea if he can coach. I know he’s well liked so hopefully he’d grow on me, if hired.

  15. arrow00

Maybe he can teach these guys how to shoot

Not sure they can bring an assistant on, even if it’s a player development coach, without hiring the HC and letting them get their assistants first.

I dont think he’d do it, given how well he’s doing in the media game. But this is the exact type of risk the FO should be taking with this hiring process. Same type of risk the Warriors took bringing in Kerr.

This head coaching search has quickly turned to being very funny

I would hire him in an instant to be an assistant coach. He was a master at shooting and off-ball movement, and I have no doubt he would have plenty of value to add.

Having him jump into the head coaching seat with zero coaching experience doesn’t make sense, though. If he spends a few years as an assistant, then we could talk.

Would rather Becky as head coach and JJ as an assistant or associate.

  21. earlyearlgray

JJ can replace Doug Smith as a Raptors media personality

  22. It-sOkBro

he maintains that kawhi traveled he’s compromised and can’t be trusted

  23. Saw him running into a resto on Monday evening. Makes sense.

  24. SadOpportunity9825

Just keep him away from any Chinese New Year media events.

  25. Bleachdrinker1998

JJ is very arrogant/annoying tbh, would not enjoy it
