Brian: I think Tatum has been very good in this series, but it’s still entirely fair to criticize him for not being consistently great. If he’s going to be a top 10 player in this league, this is the time of year he has to be great. That’s the air he’s in, now. There’s no excuse

He’s not wrong. I think Tatum has had good quarters in this series, but he hasn’t put together a complete game like Booker, Curry, Fox, Butler, AD, or Embiid have. All those guys have had a great game on both ends of the ball at least one game so far. Tatum’s got another chance to set the tone and lead the team. I hope he does so
At this point I just wonder which half he will be trash in
Consistency is more important.
Tatum has not been very good, he’s in the “superstar” pedestal, superstars are not just very good good they are great. He’s been average to good at best still has not put a whole great game in this series.
We’re just posting random NBA tweets now? This is some common knowledge shit
We haven’t really seen him take over 4th quarters and close a team out. That’s what your great players and mvps do on a regular basis
What’s the best a guy can be without efficient shooting? Who is the most impactful player in the league that doesn’t shoot well?
Tatum’s issue is that the dude takes some of the lowest efficiency shots ever. It’s incredible when he’s making them but he still has periods where he jacks up awful 3s and never drives to the paint.
