We can't pick everyone. The goal is to not miss out on drafts (especially when you're drafting high) we most certainly did not miss on Sochan even if Jalen becomes better than him long term. Sochan is a very different player that fits what the Spurs need, Jalen wouldn't necessarily fit with Keldon/Devin already around

I agree with what you said about Jeremy for the most part,yes he’s younger,more potential,bigger.
But I feel like J-Dub is a bit underrated by your description,he is a versatile wing who got a 7’2 wingspan,and some said
the wingspan is your true height in basketball,big hands& long wingspan are key pieces of a great defender,such as Kawhi.
Jalen is just a different archetype,he is also ridiculous versatile if you look at how OKC utilized him.
So no,I doubt Jeremy is better than him in every way besides shooting,they just play different roles,like you can’t compare
Steph’s rebounds to someone like Jokic.
Jalen is much better right now because he is a decent scorer.The way I’m seeing it,Jeremy would surpass Jalen when his 3P% is over 35%,in modern gameplay you are a liability on offense if you can’t make 3s’.
Shooting ability is the decider of whether Jeremy will become a Draymond Green type of player or more,and Jalen don’t have that concern at the mean time since he is above average already.I guess only time will tell,I certainly hope Jeremy would be
more than a glue guy.
Sochan reminds me of Boris Diaw. Just British & slimmer
Here is my take. As of now, I think Jalen W is a better player than Sochan. However, he is definitely a worse fit than Sochan as he is pretty much like Keldon and Devin when it comes to his position and size. He will take either Devin or Keldon's position which does not solve our starting PF problem. We are so think in PF, we have used guys like Doug who is a quite bad defender, and KBD who is not a starting material.
Sochan definitely fill the spot we sorely needed. We do need more scoring but that can come from Malaki, Devin, and Keldon. Defense at PF, no one in the team will do better than Sochan. That's why I think we did not really miss out Jalen as he does not fill our need at PF.
