Call me a bandwagoner or not

I started watching the warriors in 2016 when they were already down 3-1 to OKC and down 20 points in game 5, (before that game I wasn’t a basketball fan I only ever watch basketball at social events) Watching these guys beat OKC 3 times and being down countless time was so magical. After that series I was a fan for life and if this is the last series we have with these 3 together I know for a fact they will go out guns blazing!!! So Believe Dub Nation let’s get this to game 7! Stephen Curry is that man!!

I started watching Curry when he was just a newly born baby. Back then me and 2 of my other friends rode our camels at the first sign that he was about to be born. I gifted him with myrrh as a symbol of death. A prelude to the death lineups he’ll lead. I am no bandwagoner. I’ve clearly stated for anyone with comprehension that a camel is my ride of choice.

One of us! One of us! Even if you started in 2016… the warriors dynasty has gone on for a decade now. even some of these so called “bandwagon” fans that may have joined 7-10 years ago, have prob been a fan of the warriors longer than some of the lakes and kings fans. As those teams start to get good in recent history and acquire fans.. it is the pattern of being a winner, fans will follow.

Then it becomes.. are you really a bandwagon fan if you have been following the warriors for 10 or so years (2013 series vs denver was magical). I would say no. You also witnessed klay’s 2 years of injury.. a lottery year, a play in year.. a lineup of willie cauly stein and ky bowman, and through it all. We are championship 🙂

I have been following since the vince carter for antawn jamison trade and could never imagine this franchise becoming what it is now and i am hungry for more. I want curry to get his 5+ rings. Let’s go Warriors!!!!!!!!!!

It all started for me even before Steph. The We Believe Warriors were a far more exciting product than the collapsing Kings. I was thrilled when the Warriors selected Curry even though I was convinced he was going to be a Wolf or Knick. I’ve watched the Warriors since We Believe and will continue to watch them even after the Core 3 retire.

“down 20 points in game 5”

    That never happened.

Not sure about G6 but G5 is a dub guaranteed.

Great photoshop to make them look young. Mad skills OP.

They should make those jerseys in a non t shirt version for our black jerseys next year

Been a fan since the 80’s. I grew up in the Bay Area and lived there most of my adult life. Chris Mullin is my all time favorite player. I’ll only support Bay Area teams. Used to be a Raiders and A’s fan until they made plans for Vegas. Now it’s the Giants and 49ers.

I think the bandwagon thing is okay unless you’re only supporting teams when they’re a contender. People can do what they want and enjoy life. The real idiots are the ones who gatekeep. Life is too short! Enjoy it.

I used to be a huge fan of Ray Allen. I started notice Curry in 2012 and I started love watching Curry & Klay play when their nickname “Splash Brother” became popular and since then I root for Warriors.

  11. I don’t really get the bandwagon hate.

I never grew up as a basketball fan, I’m a shorter white guy in prairie Canada. I didn’t watch it, when we played it in gym class I didn’t know the rules and even so, my height meant I wasn’t very effective anyway.

Coming out of high school, friends I made outside of school were into basketball. I would watch with them, I made the smart-ass comment that I liked the Warriors because Danny Tanner from Full House did. That was maybe Curry’s 1st year. Since then, Curry and Klay and Draymond made me a basketball fan, they were exciting shooting from all over the place, playing in a way that I hadn’t seen before. So yeah, those guys and the wins made me a bigger fan but it brought me into watching the league and I’m sure I’m not the only one with a similar story.

As long as you are genuinely rooting for my team and you want them to win, I could care less if you’ve been doing it for 35 years or 3 hours. What I care about is will you still root for them after their dynasty run is finished and they are back to being a perennial lottery team.

I used to pick the Warriors back in the day on NBA Jam cause I thought Tim Hardaway and Chris Mullen were a super strong combo in the game and when I really started watching basketball I liked the Warriors and the Magic (because of Shaq pretty much). My fandom for the Warriors skyrocketed when the #8 seed ‘We Believe’ Warriors played that playoff series against the #1 seed Mavs in like… ’06? ’07? And haven’t looked back since. I do still like Orlando but the Warriors will always be my team.

Who cares when you started watching. Just don’t be toxic and feel entitled. Be a passionate fan and stick with us through the good and the bad. You’re only a bandwagon fan if you leave when the going is tough

I always disliked calling people “bandwagon fans”. We all have our own journeys and all are welcome.

I dislike casual and uninvolved fans taking up seats in the Chase center – esp in playoffs. If you’re not passionate and going to bring energy as a fan, free up those seats for those that will.

With you in believing that the Warriors can do this. They lost the last game by a few points with Klay and JP having terrible games. The talent is there, they can do this.

  15. avenue_steppin

8 years of fandom I think disqualifies you from bandwagoner at this point maybe lol, but idk. I started being a fan in 2011.

  16. sakuragi59357

I was aware of the Warriors when they chose Nelson over Webber. Pain.

  17. Richardduh

Hopping on the bandwagon doesn’t matter. Just depends if you stick with your team through the bad times. With the exception of the Knicks. It’s ok to stop being fans of that franchise cause of their shitty owner. Same with the clippers pre balmer

  18. Middle and right and letting the one on the left down lol

  19. StringGloomy3804

    Splash brother, brother, and draymond

  20. Jvlockhart

I became a fan on 2012-2013; curry’s first all star selection and playoffs appearance.

They’ve come so far. But not done yet.

    HERE WE COME!

I’m not a Warriors fan, I’m actually a Bulls fan (from Chicago). But I honestly enjoy watching the team play, and respect the way they play ball. Their dynasty sort of reminds me of the Bulls dynasty, of keeping the core together through it all.

Out of all the teams, I find their games the most satisfying to watch. Their resilient as hell, and are almost always in it until the final minute. They truly give it their all, and I’ve liked Kerr since he was a Bull helping our core win championships. Good luck to the Warriors the rest of the way, I know they won’t let their fans down tonight.

  22. owatupcuz

Nothing wrong with that only thing I don’t like bandwagons or new nba fans , I don’t agree with talking crazy disrespect legends or current player after watching sport couple years thinking they know it all but who cares if you bandwagon long as you stay with the teams during their down years you good bro..

  23. Aquaman_x

Curry got me into watching basketball, 2015. It was a blessing to inherit the Splash Brothers in The Bay.

  24. I_am_Bruce_Wayne

Honestly… How long do you have to be a fan to not be considered a bandwagoner?

  25. Same. People can call me bandwagon, but I literally hadn’t watched a single game of basketball until Steph’s amazing 2015 season. This team literally made basketball relevant in my life.
