  1. Gil mentioned J.J. has "15 years of experience in the NBA".

I'm a Nets fan, coaching experience IS IMPORTANT. Steve Nash, a former two time MVP couldn't even lead us to at least one conference finals.

I'm not doubting J.J.'s coaching potential, but no franchise hiring a head coach should just overlook no coaching experience.

  2. Bookmarking this😂😂😂will look great next to your “Giannis will never win a ring or MVP in Milwaukee” take

  3. Gil you need to Coach the Wizards. Yes the Wizards. The backing from the fan base will give you enough time to turn the team around. 🏀

  4. J.J. over Sam Cassel is crazy Sam deserves a chance instead of some player who is a personality at least give Tim Legler a chance cause Legs knows the ins and outs of basketball

  5. JJ Redick has no business being an NBA head coach.
When push comes to shove, Arenas is always an Uncle Rukus.

  6. When Gilbert touched on the fact that. You should always take that picture with a kid, as you never know, he may end up being your boss, it immediately reminded me of Isiah Thomas and Mat Ishbia.

Ishbia grew up a Thomas fan and gave Thomas the CEO position of the UWM subsidiary One World Pharma, Inc.. This was after Thomas had been booted from the from office due to sexual misconduct allegations.

  7. Can Sam Cassell get a head coaching job??!!! I like JJ alot , but he has to earn it. Sam Cassell has been an assistant coach wit Doc Rivers for years now!

  8. Im selfish. JJ is the best thing that has ever happened to ESPN in YEARS. He has potential to be THE GUY at the forefront of new media.

  9. Also…………I think JJ is a phenomenal basketball mind! I hope the interview goes amazing.

On the contrary………how is this any different then the Steve Nash experiment?

  10. Being hired as a head coach with absolutely no major coaching experience is and will always be crazy, doesn’t matter who it is. Guys like Stackhouse should have a HC job, not JJ.

  11. 😆 if gil labelin his title some goofiee 💩 like dis.. vah jae jay mus b duh PLUG 🔌😆

  12. Not saying JJ won’t succeed but I reckon if he doesn’t start as an assistant, he should get a mentor. I think that’s part of why Steve Kerr succeeded and Jason Kidd hasn’t. Need to know that you don’t know and get some advice when you need it.

His assistant coach hires will say alot

  13. JJ’s time at ESPN and in his podcast has shown he’s a great communicator. Could be a good coach for young teams looking to develop.

  14. One thing about the Duke UNC rivalry is it gets violent fast amongst fans like being a blood in a crip neighborhood!

I lived in NC for 8 years and Chapel Hill, Raleigh- Durham you will get jumped lol how serious Fans take the rivalry 😂

  15. JJ has a higher IQ than everyone in this video combined. Seeing him routinely dumb himself down to talk to the "basketball community" is very awkward.

  16. Meh, good for him but i think the jj hype is abundent right now, because hes challenging the pundits we were used to.
