Congrats to both but again we just want the Celtics to go to Philly and take care of business tomorrow please we’re begging you
🔥☘️
Brown deserves it. Tatum is a joke. He can't step up in play-off crunchtime. He's a weak-ass poser….
John were u get that Andre the giant chronic shirt ? 🔥🔥🔥
There are alot of good reporters and podcasts people up there in Boston. You are the best Mr John. This Celtics will be ok. Tatum and Brown are still young and learning.
Congrats to JB and JT! Now let's win the remaining two games v the Sixers!
Bittersweet. Nothing else to say but just win.🙏🏻 Thanks fellas.

It will be about Want. Tomorrow either they Want to Win or not. It will show.
Celtics really love to lose games they have no business losing. It makes no sense. I’m surprised by wins at this point.
The Sixers are the better team, the Sixers have the two best players on the floor, Doc is the better coach and the celtics are overrated. Sixers in six.
John I haven't commented on a video this season yet to my recollection (have watched) but fitting it may be on the eve of the last game of the season lol. There wasn't a point all year I had true faith in this team. I just didn't think they were resilient enough to win a chip with an inexperienced coach in his first year. Still hoping, but this rollercoaster of choosing when to look like world beaters is also tiresome lol
2 all stars/ All nba players , Sixth man of the year , All defensive player , hustle player (last years DPOY) and going out in the second round not even in 7 …. MAZZULA YOU BUTT shoulda signed Reddick
how is keeping 2 guys for max who can't or won't play together good news
Out of curiosity i did some digging and calculations and determined that: 300 million grains of sand can fit in a roughly 17.5×17.5 square foot area
if jayson is making that much then trade him tomorrow- zero championships blase atttitude- horrible playofff games- I don't think so
not easy when everyone plays big minutes and you don't know how to use your bench-not easy to run
I think they both know they all NBA i think they pressure probably relieve and they play better know
Love the underscore boys daily listen
Is it worth paying 600 million dollars to two guys who dont have what it takes to win a championship? Just asking
Now that all the individual accolades are done, can they now play team ball? only a few role players have contract years but main guys should all be set.
i think the celtics problems require a structural change. the jays winning all-nba doesn't solve it. here's the top 5 problems:
1. joe. He's not ready to be a coach for championship team. at best, he's for a rebuilding team.
solution; replace joe in the offseason or keep joe on for 1 more season to see if he can redeem himself but make sure he gets assistant coach help.
2. who's the alpha in crunch time? so far it's been tatum and it's clearly not working. he doesn't have that paul pierce in him. he's more talented than JB but doesn't have the paul pierce mentality. JB has more of that mentality.
solution: brad has to have a sitdown with the 2 and the head coach ad discuss either diversifying who's the alpha at crunch time or making JB the default alpha next year and it's JT this time standing in the corner.
3. lots of key role players have regressed: al due to age, marcus and rob due to injuries, etc. We will need a new, consistent (no more al sitting out every other game) starting 5 this season. We will need a couple of starting level bigs or at least 1. and hopefully a return to double big. smart was handed the keys to the car and he wasn't ready.
solution: without thinking of possible players coming in due to trades/mid-level i'd tweak the lineups this way:
starters: white, brown, tatum, gallo, timelord
benchl: brogdon, smart, hauser, grant, horford
i am hoping the offseason of rest allows jt and marcus to recover from their injuries and for rob to rediscover what he had last season. if not, i think it's time for a big structural change and to consider trading rob, smart along with grant and pp (both want out anyway). oh and champegnie is a waste of a roster spot. davison was better. send him down to maine or trade him. definitely cool with keeping luke, blake and moose on board. if gallo isn't ready yet, i wouldnt be opposed to seeing moose as a starter early next season. white deserves his shot to be handed the keys to the car and let's embrace 0.5/spursian basketball.
4. everyone should commit on working on something this offseason like jb with his handle, tatum with his shooting, rob with boxing out, d.white being more aggressive, etc.
solution: get into training camp early. minimize offseason problems by getting the roster and coach situation resolved early. find ways for the team to develop chemisty early.
5. lack of offense is why we failed last year. lack of defense is why we failed this year. hopefully the offseason allows us to address both gaps and system is put in early.
solution: no more JT walking up the ball. let the PGs do their job. JB has to be the alpha in crunch time and personally I'd like to see more JT/JB PNR. a re-emphasis on defense is needed. bring in a defensive "coordinator" as an assistant coach if you need to. balance the offense between paint points and 3's. clearly the math isn't working right now. get people to commit to playing D. everybody goes on the steph curry conditioning regimen. if they get tired, use the bench. we have good depth. no reason not to go 9-10 man deep to keep up the energy levels for playing D. and once the game is a blowout, bring in players 11-13.
R. Westerholm – 1st Team All-Karalis
The Celtics have no chance of getting out of this series, nevermind get a championship. They are ultra soft… lambs and the 6ers are lions. The Jays are not able to get it done.
Jaylen Brown has scored 23+ every game this series & shot 50% or better in all but one.
this offense flows better thru Jaylen because he makes his reads quick & moves. (sometimes he goes too fast.) he finishes thru contact without selling.
JB comes to work every night, puts his hard hat on & gets the offense out & running… but for some reason Joe goes away from him in the 4th. so did Udoka. so did Brad.
the offense thru Tatum really slows down. JT has the handles of a guard, smittys & hezzis, fadeaways over each shoulder. hes gifted in every way but everything he gets comes hard. his ability to make those hard shots is why his game is so beautiful when hes on.
but we cant live on dribbling down the shot clock & taking contested stepback threes. our defense isnt as effective when the opponent is running off a rebound & we’re down a man cuz theyre picking themselves up off the ground after trying to sell a foul.
Joe Mazzulla is no child prodigy but why do 2 supermax All-NBA All-Stars, the 6MOY & last year’s DPOY need Greg Popovich to make these simple reads & adjustments in the first place?
SO MUCH OF THIS is in-game decision making from the players. yes Joe should be pointing it out, but this offense leaves plenty of room for improvisation.
for example: players can call timeouts too.
Joe isnt blowing me away here but… neither did Udoka, who had a similar looking team that was sub .500 halfway thru last season then finished his last 3 playoff series going 10-10. Brad’s teams had similar lapses.
we’ve seen THIS team THIS year play historic basketball.
call it focus, call it heart, call it whatever… but this is a player thing. something IN THEM isnt clicking & they only have ONE game to get it right.
great show. love the x’s & o’s talk toward the end.
how much of that is on Joe & how much is on the players to make those reads to counter Philly’s defensive adjustments?
John, not sure if the internet has swayed your opinion or how you phrase things. I’m basically wondering if you’re afraid to lean strongly towards one direction.
I can’t agree with the idea that this team is “talented” and “better” than the Sixers. Currently as they stand they’re down 3-2. As much talent that I agree they have, it doesn’t show on the results. Sixers are more talented, because they won. They’re putting in the effort, which is a talent. They’re also better, because they’re up 3-2 against the Celtics. Objectively the Celtics are less talented and are worse considering the results.
I’m tired of this narrative that the Celtics are good. Professional sports is tough. If they lose, they will be remembered as being lesser until they can prove themselves again.
To that however your frustration is very welcoming to hear and see. But please call it as it is. This team sucks, until they’re good.
I still think they can win, but that chance is so slim compared to a few days ago.
I feel like this should've been an episode to get us ready for the ultimate disappointment. Can no longer trust this team after all they put us through.
