Kawhi can have another surgery and rest till next year’s playoffs.

First off, fuck Zaza.

Give Kawhi some robotic knee implants or world-class microfracture surgery from the best doctor in the world (funded by Steve Ballmer). A complete new knee/ knee cap, stronger and better. Rest him for the whole regular season (which does not even matter: Warriors and Lakers are still in the playoffs but we are not.). Allow him to go on vacation to wherever he wants. Offer him the best massage therapist/acupuncturist/taichi master (again, funded by Steve Ballmer). Make sure he has at least 10 hours of sleep every day. And then Release the BEAST in 2024 playoffs. That way he will come back 100% healthy and shock everyone with his rejuvenated body, and we will storm through every round to the finals.

But we need to make sure we can make it to the playoffs. We need a “good enough” performance in the regular season. We need to trade for pieces that can replace Kawhi somewhat. We need someone who can offer 50% of Kawhi’s offense and defense. Mook clearly cannot. Zu can’t give you much offense and not so reliable with his butterfingers. He is also a liability for perimeter defense when Kawhi is absent. Plumlee, on the other hand, is a good replacement. He can drive the ball, offers good amount of energy and give you double-double and nearly triple doubles if you play him 30+ minutes. Plumlee can also defend every position and give you 50% of Kawhi’s perimeter defense. Still we need to trade Mook and Zu for someone else. For that purpose I suggest trading Mook and Zu to wolves for KAT. KAT is a three-point champ and he can make up for Plumlee’s inability to shoot threes. KAT gives you nice amount of energy as well. I suggest we can also replicate what Twolves did: playing two bigs on court (KAT as 5 +Plumlee as 4+ PG as 3+Bones/mann as 2 + Westbook as 1). This lineup can give you 3rd-8th seed in the regular season.

When Kawhi comes back fully healthy, some time in April 2024, we can bench Plumlee and play Kawhi as 4 or 3. A renewed Kawhi, after going through surgery operated by world-class surgeons and sleep and rest for a year, will not only SHOCK everyone in the 2024 playoffs, but will also have a Longer career and can play till late 30s.
