As a lifelong Sixers fan unfortunately im just used to disappointment, and the Sixers find a way to just blow even the perfect scenario. I want to believe they're gonna win tonight, i just feel they gonna find a way to blow it tonight.
It all depends on game 6. Whoever comes out of this series is going to the Finals if they stay healthy. Boston's M.O. going back to las postseaso has been to cough up key games inexplicably, then come back and steal the W.
If Philly's legit, they'll close them out and advance. If not, Boston can definitely recover and take the series.
The pressure has gone back and forth. The Celtics, especially since the Bucks lost, are the favorite to get to the finals, so that's pressure. The Sixers haven't gotten past the 2nd round in forever, and Doc Rivers record when his teams have had a chance to close out isn't good. The pressure is all on my Sixers tonight, Doc has to throw everything possible at the Celtics tonight. No way can you go back to Boston
The problem with the Celtics is that they never run plays, use cuts, they just run high picks and iso the whole game! Even when it's crunch time they keep running the same play over and over. They get behind and you'll see them chuck up 3 after 3 when they're not falling. Harden has taken JB completely out of the game after the 1st quarter. Poor coaching.
Philly has the current mvp, a former mvp who's not too old to still dominate when needed and the better 3rd and 4th options in Maxey and Harris.
Boston isn't too overmatched to win, but Philly is probably the better team if they both play to their potential. The biggest question mark was would Harden and Embiid do that or would they wilt like they've been known to this time of year.
One thing that I feel like hasn’t been talked about is how scared Boston (with the except of brown and smart) seems to be when talking the ball to the hoop with Joel there. I remember watching some YouTubers and they mentioned how jayson Tatum is at his worst when he’s scared to go to the rim and I feel like that’s happening now. In last game, there were multiple instances where it seemed like he was gonna have a full head of steam driving to the cup and then he would suddenly stop when he saw Joel was there
The last I hear is that the Celtics have bought a hotel package in a non-disclused hotel in Cancun to discuss off season trades that include Jaylen Brown and Joe Mazzulla late game execution.
The mind games these two play on their listeners is somewhat magician like. They ppl they root for all year, when they can close out series they both choose the other team. They are die hard fans of who they like up until the most pivotal game. I know betting people don’t know what to bet listening to these guys.
