The reals know that Hakeem was arguably the greatest defensive player of all time. Hakeem and Kareem played almost the exact same number of games (1238 & 1239).
Hakeem is #1 all time on stocks with 5992.
Kareem is #2 all time… with 4349.
25th is Moses Malone with 2822. Moses is closer to Kareem than Kareem is to Hakeem.
It was unheard of then and is still unheard of now for a guy to be BOTH that good at getting blocks (#1 all time, 541 ahead of Mutombo) AND that good at getting steals (#10 all time and you can bet the other 9 are shorter folks).
