[Dumas] I’m told Jonathan Kuminga aims to split his off-season time in Miami, NYC, and LA. He wants to participate in alot of NBA open runs and showcase to people around the league what he can do on the court.

I really hope we don’t trade JK but he’s clearly ready for a change of scenery

  2. Unfair-Worker929

Really would like to not lose him but Kerr isn’t utilizing him right.

  3. PredictableSandlot

From the tk report, it sounds like they don’t want to trade him unless it is a resort. [resort.](https://resort.It)But it sounds like Poole will be traded and he will get the 6th man role.

  4. Hopeful-Ad-6835

This FO and staff just had a masterclass on how not to develop talent

  5. Altruistic-Twist-379

Pls use the fucking kid Kerr.

  6. Nightmannn

Kuminga is pissed because he’s been underdeveloped and missed out on chances to show his talent. No rookie accolades, no sophomore accolades. Kinda sucks tbh but I get it, his aspirations are high.

  7. FatesNemesis

This lowkey sounds like a 2K story.

  8. Saturday514

Tbh.. Warriors ruined Kuminga. Its nice to preach patience.. but as a young player, it kindda sucks.

  9. Herbetet

Good on him, what he needs is to play so if that helps him be better for next season, great. No chance we are getting rid of him unless someone overpays

  10. ImperialTiger3

We better commit to him and give him a spot in the rotation next year or trade him. Letting him fester on the bench isn’t helping anyone.

  11. jtruth9

All year much of the sub’s position towards Kuminga is that he just needs to sit down, and shut up. Now here we are.

  12. vitalbumhole

Steve fucked this up and I’m furious – stubborn asshole playin trash ass Poole while Joku got no run in any significant minutes down the stretch. Kerr straight selling our future

  13. veryrelevantusername

He needs to play at least 25 minutes per game next season. He’s an athletic freak and has an insane motor. Kerr is brain dead to play dudes like Lamb over him and if that doesn’t change I don’t blame JK for wanting to bounce.

  14. billymartinkicksdirt

Did he sign with new management or does he have an uncle that’s involved?

  15. CookieMonsterNova

    but why…open runs are useless.

he needs to be in the gym working on his handles, his jumper, his footwork, his rebounding.

you see lebron, steph, kobe and then participating in open runs???

  16. Zlasher8

He’s gonna showcase himself on summer leagues that are known for offensive moves and not stiff defense? I’m sure that’ll win Steve over

  17. SlideLow

I really hope this kid gets more runs and minutes. I really believe in his potential and off season work. Just needs a consistent 3 and he’ll be a killer on the court

I think people forgot he had a chance in the previous series, and came out with just no energy. He hasn’t controlled his foul problems either. Even in the blowout game 2, when Kuminga was put in at the last half of the 4th, he didn’t have any energy playing.

Kerr isn’t looking for players who are pouting cause they’re not playing against a starting lineup. He’s looking for his players to be ready for any situation. Look at Moody, guy barely played in the regular season, and bam gets a lot of minutes in the playoffs, just because he showed the ENERGY to play.

JK is young too, like REALLY young. People forget hes only 20 years old. He’s still developing mentally too. Moody is the same age, but all the players say hes a lot more mature for his age.

If I’m Kuminga, I’m doing this to force coach’s hand to play me, or trade me. You’re telling me I couldn’t do more than potato Poole in the playoffs??

  20. giraffesbluntz

This team needs youth. We cannot expect 5-7 guys to be healthy and consistent all year which is what will happen if we package Poole/Kuminga to get one player back.

We can already barely afford a 15 man roster with how top heavy we are. The answer isn’t to get even more top heavy it’s to maximize the talent we have.

Are we really just gonna forget that Kerr played Lamb/Jerome the entire damn season? And then he admits that we were never a serious contender this year?

You can’t have your cake and eat it too Steve.

  21. KlaysBurner

    He gone 😞

Good job to everyone who pushed him out. I will root for the kid wherever he goes

  22. hitoriki_x

Get your bag if you need to, this season has come off as a nightmare I bet for him.

    1. Getting beat as a role player by Anthony Lamb, despite trying to fill the role for Wiggins when he was off and he showed up for a lot of it

    2. Not seeing any playoff time unless it was garbage minutes because the “match up” didn’t fit despite how bad some of our role players were. Dude saw Lonnie Walker have a MJ moment and probably thought he could have contributed.

    3. Wiseman getting traded, he prob see’s how wiseman has pretty much developed into a starting role over there in Detroit.

We’re heading into a season with an overpaid Poole, we have a disgruntled rookie and we’re going to lose DDV because of the new stupid cap rules.

Ride or die with the warriors 🥲

  23. WholeWideHeart

He is currently on a team with living legends. His best bet is learn, grow and be ready when the opportunity to contribute comes.

  24. PrimaryService1566

I dislike this org heavily with the Wiseman Kuminga treatment

  25. matmortel

I don’t blame him at all. Kerr is weird for not letting these young guys play. It’s why we don’t have depth. These guys aren’t seasoned enough.

  26. taygads

All season I’ve heard a lot of you can’t blame Kuminga for how he’s acting, he’s a lottery pick of course he wants to play. Yet, we all forget that so was Moody and we never once saw him pouting or making it about himself (and going to local reporters complaining about playing time) and he had it way worse than Kuminga this regular season. He responded to falling completely out of the rotation by putting his head down and working his butt off to stay ready when his number was called and then after a damn near whole season of not getting called, it’s called in the playoffs and he shows up and delivers. Kuminga, on the other hand, when his number got called in the playoffs didn’t hustle or do the things that were asked of him (rebounding).

One guy was focused on contributing to the team, the other guy has shown pretty much the entire time he’s been here that he’s about himself and the highlight reels.
