[Woj]Williams had three years and $20M million-plus left on his contract, sources told ESPN. He is expected to become a prominent candidate in coaching searches elsewhere in the league, especially the Toronto Raptors, sources said.

Makes sense. Masai talked about how we’ve sorta lost our culture the last couple years and Monty would be an excellent hire to fix/reset that.

Definitely wouldn’t be upset with him as the head coach, but also would like us to keep our wide search going. Only risk is we lose out on some popular candidates who go to one of the other openings.

Not really the right guy for us. His relationship with Ayton doesn’t really suggest he has the right touch bringing along young players. We need a guy that has Casey’s temperament with some more strategic sense. Which is why I was glad to see they interviewed Scariolo.

Is he just speculating the bit about the raptors?

I’d love him on our team. Seems like a great guy.

I want to give an assistant a shot. These guys had good rosters and flamed out.

Is Monty really going to do a better job here than he did with Phx or Nurse did here? I personally want Quinn, but yeah I don’t want a head coach that just got fired. We aren’t contending so give a shot to someone new and let them grow imo.

The plot thickens for our off-season lol.

I’d be OK with Monty. Culture reset. See what he can do.

Had the balls to bench Ayton for a minimum guy (Landale) in play off 4th quarters. Shit Nick would never do.
