It’s about time he was not a good coach
Coach was just not good at adapting. Always putting in Landry over Torrey or Okogie, especially since he never did that all season long. Plus Landry is just not a good defender.
Jokic and the Nuggets are coach and franchise killers. They got Doc Rivers fired in LA because everyone was so shocked–didn't have a clue what they were watching–that the Nuggets beat their ass in the bubble. They abused Utah in the bubble and exposed how weak the Jazz really were which led to a coaching fire and a complete redo soon after . Monte Williams is the latest victim. The problem in all these scenarios is that the Nuggets were simply better but because supposedly intelligent NBA talking heads willfully trash the Nuggets casuals and half wits were so shocked heads roll when a team loses to the Nuggets.
You never root for the downfall on someone but unfortunately Monty couldn't prevent his own firing because he just couldn't complete.

Cp3 will be down with any trade cause of the AMOUNT OF HIS FINAL YEAR is worth trading for some team's long term contracts. DA also, could be added as well. Problem is no draft picks. Say blazers play nice and help Dame, what does the suns offer? Suns will definitely retool for sure. Dillon Brooks would be good addition for the mid level.
Monty was always seen as a culture resetter but not THE guy to take the team to a title but now they can get him in Lue or Nurse.
I think Monty's biggest sins was not trying out new stuff. He never gave mikal an opportunity to create his own shots and also wasnt capable to exploits DA's potential. Ayton should be practicing rebounding and carrying the ball to the basket every single day.
Honestly he got dealt a horrible hand. The Sun’s bench was horrible. They wouldn’t have won no matter who they had coaching. I wish Monty all the best.
Not much of a fan of the other free agent head coaches though any of them may be a slight upgrade but not by much imo.

I hope they keep CP3 though. Yes he's getting old, but I'd like him as a bench player to come off the bench. But I know it's not likely since they need him as an asset for a trade. But no mistake about it, CP3 can still make a difference. He just can't play a lot of minutes.

I understand you stated on defensive schemes in which PHX or Monty Williams should have created. In a sense you right. You also, compared defensive teams like the 2021 Bucks and the current season Nuggets which I will explain their team structure in a moment. Now, let's go back to the huge K.D. trade. Did you know that you gutted your team greatly. Then you did not have a quality bench and that you have to depend highly on your starters? The only fault that I give for Monty Williams is not depending on the new bench players like T.J. Wren a little more? Even, before the post season started. I heard on Basketball radio that PHX is not a great defensive team because they gave up so much depth. Now, the 2021 Bucks was a great defensive team, but do you know was their defensive mastermind for that team was Darvin Hamm? Now the head coach for the Lakers. Now, in reference to the Denver Nuggets their staff and GM drafted and did quality trades. Their main issue is the heath welfare of their players. Now this year everyone seems healthy and now they are full force.

I remember mike D'antoni in the playoffs would call a TO and huddle up with Nash to draw up plays. Never saw Monty do any of that. Never saw them play with rhythm. Seemed more of a motivator but these are young men that need a shot caller. Someone that can lead and with a presence.

Sun's should go after Tye Lu from the Clippers. Monty was a great coach for the Sun's and it should be taken into consideration the injuries. However….t0imr fir a new voice.
