Kap is visiting his son in Seattle this weekend and got to watch the Bulls from a different perspective. His son doesn’t get to see the Bulls play very often but is a huge fan. They had a great time watching last night’s exciting double-overtime win over the Timberwolves. A win where Zach Lavine and DeMar DeRozan set a franchise record for the most points scored by a duo in a game. Kap is now wondering if maybe it’s a good thing for the Bulls to make the play-in tournament.
The narrative around town lately has been that the best thing for the Bulls is to lose as many games as possible and hope to get lucky in the lottery and end up with a top 4 pick (if they have a pick any higher than 4, it will go to the Magic). But we’ve seen enough losing in this town recently. We’ve had to root for loses far too often during the last 5 years.
Maybe the best thing for the Bulls is to make the play-in tournament and attempt to make a fun little run in the playoffs. If they do that, maybe they attract a free agent point guard in the offseason. What do you think? Are you rooting for the Bulls to make the play-in? Looking at it from your son's perspective is true, cause like he said you never know what could possibly happen and even if they bow out after a competitive run maybe a point guard who want to come here I mean you have to look at Fred Van Fleet, Dennis Schroder and maybe Kyrie Irving even though I don't see him coming here….

Definitely agree with your son myfriend let’s try and make the playoffs and see what happens then in the offseason let’s add some Outside Shooting and go from there
Even if they get in in the play-in tournament and get lucky enough to win the 8th seed (or get real lucky and get the 7th seed), they are gonna face Boston or Milwaukee. Even if they are playing well and hitting on all cylinders, there is no way they are going to get any calls and win 4 games to get out of the first round. There is no way the NBA will let Boston or Milwaukee bounce out in the first round. So losing and having a small chance at a top 4 pick and even smaller chance at the dream #1 pick is probably our best bet. 🤷♂️
We can only sign someone if we’re able to get some kind of financial reimbursement for balls contract. Bulls should really cut ties with him. There’s some type of clause I think or the money wouldn’t go against the cap.
