I love the guy. If he hadn’t injured his wrist I think we are still in it right now.

Signing him is what pushed us over the edge. His leadership (along with Shawn) really helped gel the young core. He was asked to come off the bench and accepted that role with no complaints.

Without Iguodala, I feel we would’ve been a very good team, but would not have one 4 championships in 8 years. We would’ve been more like the Bucks. A good team but not perennials.

Somehow he’s gonna return isn’t he

  4. versace_tombstone

I think he should have a statue, or at least a gigantic dedicated hands brass sculpture in the arena.

He will be in the Hall of Very Good.

  6. PanicBoners

Couldnt have done it without Andre. Finals MVP and part of the most terrifying lineup in NBA history, the Hampton 5. He will go down as a Warriors legend, statue when?

I thought it was a mistake to sign him because of the positional overlap with Barnes. First season that kind of played out. But then Kerr came in and solved the issues superbly.

The hall of fame case is pretty interesting, not really enough all-star appearances or stats but the finals mvp and place in the warriors dynasty should be enough.

Plus they kind of let everyone in.

I remember watching the first championship, I went to the bars every game from start to finish. Lebron was dominant, Iggy won us that chip, a very well deserved FMVP.

Strikes me as a smart guy both on and off the court. I know he spends a lot of his time trying to help others, again both on and off the court. Hard not to like a guy like that.

you all think he will get his jersey retired because i hope so

Without him, the renaissance of this franchise doesn’t happen. More so than anything on the court, people forget or don’t know, but when he was traded here, he orchestrated it because he wanted to play for Golden State after losing to us/learning what we were about when he played for the Nuggets in 2013. Up until then, it had been at least 20/30 years – maybe much more since anyone of any stature wanted to come play + stay in Golden State of their own free will. That really was a huge turning point and something I hadn’t personally seen in a very long time as a Warriors fan, and was a signal that the Warriors had a chance to compete in the league.

love iggy, prolly 2nd fav player after steph. best biceps also

The last shot, who would you rather have taking it: Andre Iguodala or Steph Curry?

    I want Iguodala

I think he sacrificed a lot of his personal potential by taking a bench roll for the betterment of the team, which I have massive respect for. Dude is a huge piece of the dynasty and should never be overlooked.

However, as a completely unbiased observer, I honestly believe even with the loss in the 2015 Finals that LeBron should have won FMVP, 1969 Finals Jerry West style.

I hope to see him back with the warriors as a coach.

  16. Nessmuk58

I think he was instrumental in our dynastic run, but I also think he retired one year too late.

  17. binnjdrinking

Loved him since his early days in Philly with the man who made me an NBA fan: AI

  18. YnwaDubs

Love the guy, couldn’t have gotten all of this off the ground without him I don’t think

  19. Subject_Gene_9775

Hit HUGE 3’s, jumped out of the building…one of the players who had two careers with two teams

  20. ProperCuntEsquire

Andre needs a statue. Glad he’s not on the roster though.

  21. txiao007

Always like him. Want to see him part of coaching staff

  22. ShowReadyYT

His shoulders will always be #goals He and Dwight Howard must share a secret routine.

  23. Dontmindme30

Controversial take, but he is the best on-ball SF defender I’ve ever seen.

Not as controversial, he’s one of the smartest players to play the game, and his ability to steal the ball out of a live dribble is one of best in NBA history.

I always respect a guy who used to average 20ppg who can take on a smaller role and become a winning, NBA Champion role player in that role. (Ron Artest, Iggy)

My mom loved Allen Iverson so Philadelphia became one of those teams we watched so I saw iguodala’s first few years. Loved him from the start. Was happy when he came to our team kind of wish he had moved on the last 2 years or especially this year. But always one of my all-time favorites. And there’s only one tweet he ever did that I understood what he was talking about haha
