Joel Embiid and AI. I just put them in the same sentence.

    Problem?

  2. chikinbizkit

Should have never been mentioned together to begin with.

AI personified greatness in the face of adversity. Something this team clearly knows nothing about.

15 for Embiid. 51 for Tatum. What a joke. Blow it the fuck up man. Tired of this. This team has no fucking heart and I thought Simmons was the cancer. It flows through the whole org. Tobi over Jimmy, you fucking idiots. Trading a top 3 and D guy on draft night for a dude that almost got slept by a sesame seed. Fucking idiots. And now the man who is supposed to “Our Guy” our fucking MVP, puts up this? Meanwhile Jokic is putting up historic playoff numbers. The debate is over. And I stay up and watch those western conference playoff games. Jokic just flows, he can orchestrate. Finishes everything around the rim. We got a big man that wants to be a guard. He can in and out dribble on the drive though! Take his smaller defender off the bounce! He’s so big, so powerful! Look at his touch! It’s wack and I’m done. Blow it up. Fuck that MVP award.

Man i miss this guy. I always play him on NBA Live 2004.

  5. ISellWolfTickets

There have been comparisons?? This man is in the Kobe-MJ-Lebron category – even players and coaches see it that way.

AI got out of the 2nd round once in probably the worst conference in the history of the NBA. Embiid would still get killed if that’s what he had done in the last few years.

  7. TheTrocadero

He may have been small, but nobody had a bigger heart than AI. That 01 run is still one of my favorite sports memories.

  8. cjmaguire17

Yeah man. I was about to throw up the newspaper of embiids mvp win next to an AI one. Not happening

  9. darcy1537325

Bring AI back at this stage he could probs get us over the line

  10. TempleofSpringSnow

Ever. Man willed his team to the finals. Embiid could never.

  11. Grampz619

had to watch some clips to remind myself what playing with heart looked like

  12. YoItsMeBeeOhBee

Hopefully never hear Embiid and 76ers mentioned in the same sentence again unless it’s “Former 76ers center Joel Embiid”.

  13. Interesting looking back and comparing how committed this franchise is to Jo, but AI got run out of town…maybe that’s the curse…?

  14. Jay-Kane123

NOBODY questioned if the answer ever wanted to win or not. 😂 just imagine the very question being asked about him.

  15. 100_not_nickfoles

Dr j, Moses, ai fuck the last spot that’s the Mount Rushmore

  16. DRsheesh

Literally would NEVER EVERRRRR go out like that.

  17. buckbreaker56

Congratulations you guys finally learned what positional value is!

  18. NotmejusaBEe

Even before tonight, i would not consider anyone’s opinion valid who thought that. AI went to the finals with George Lynch and Eric Snow. Niang would start on that finals team. I just got dizzy thinking about it.

Our stars overthink. Sometimes you just gotta be selfish on the court and take as much of the shot as they can. I dont know why they didn’t impose their will in the biggest game of their life.

  20. he was the reason every kid has black sleeves on his right arm with a black Philly jersey in Turkey in the 2000s. He was one of the few men who influenced the whole world. please do not bring any bum to compare with this REAL SUPERSTAR.

  21. sam_sung009

the nba gave Embiid the mvp only because they didnt want Jokic to win 3 straight and be in same conversation as Wilt and Larry (only ones to win 3 consecutive), I see that now.

  22. AI heart is bigger than all these scrubs combined.

  23. abevigodasmells

AI would have played on a torn ACL and scored 30 or more every game of the series.

  24. ItRossYaBish

AI was the guest at Fanfest a couple years ago, and he still gets emotional talking about playing for the city of Philadelphia. He was an amazing player and was truly in tune with what his fans expected from him.
