  1. If AD out plays Jokic and lakers win they will still question him mainly on his health and sometimes inconsistent offense. If Jokic outplays AD and wins he enter another conversation about where will he rank all time. This benefits Jokic more then AD

  2. Jokic imo. Even by winning back to back mvp’s he’s still largely ignored by the media. If he wins the title he can finally be put on the top orcas yak.

  3. AD is hands down the best player in the league when he's on. Problem is availability and health/fatigue.

  4. I thought you were Fat Joe in the thumbnail 😂. Good breakdown of the upcoming showdown

  5. Not a big deal. AD and Jokic will cancel each other out. The winner will be determined by the other players. The thing AD brings more than Jokic is shot blocking. AD had the Warriors scared to bring the ball into the paint, you don’t get the same shot blocking in Jokic.

  6. If AD scores 10 with 10 block shots, it’s the same if Jokic scores 30. Most of AD blocks are in the paint, very high percentage shots.

  7. The "joker can't play a lick of defense" is the most lazy and casual takes. He's not dominant defensively but he definitely holds his own. Look up his advanced defensive stats if you need the proof 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

  8. Veejay got in his feelings there for a second talking about playing ball back in his day, lol.😂

  9. The AD street cloths crap imo isn’t warranted. Since coming to LA in 2020 same year as Pg and kawhi he’s played more games. That 2020 season the season was stopped at 70 games. AD played 60+ I forget the exact number but he was healthy that year.
Next couple years was bad luck I agree. But I don’t accept AD slander, the amount of energy he’s expected to put out for this lakers team to make them arguably the best defense the league, he can’t be expected to put up 30 a game. If he did that he’d be the unquestioned best player in the world even over Giannis

  10. Joker figures out every defender that's put on him and eventually beats them, like he did with Nurcic, with Adams, with Gobert, with Ayton. In a 7-game series, Joker will figure out and beat AD.

  11. Some important points…

Since that 2020 matchup AD has gone to another level as a defensive player. He’s the best in the game full stop.

Jokic has only managed to become a superstar and two time MVP himself.

It was Dwight Howard who, despite whatever else people may think, is one of the best defensive centers in history, not AD, that handled defending Jokic and was incredible.

Nothing then is comparable to today, so it’ll be really interesting to watch. Denver has every edge except depth, which the Lakers added to a stunning degree at the deadline.

  12. If AD wins another ring this year he will have been Robin to Lebrons Batman for 2 of the Lakers 18 championships. If Jokic takes the Denver friggin Nuggets to the promise land he changes the history of a franchise. Jokic by a mile as far as effecting their legacy

  13. Seasonal defense is not the same as Playoff defense bec you play different teams is a seasonal game and a little bit of adjustments are made while the playoffs are different bec schemes and adjustment changes every game with the same team in a series

  14. The Lakers will totally trash the Nuggets. Anthony Davies and LeBron James are unstoppable. Anthony Davies is the real defense player of the year. Nikola Jokic is a baby and cannot even compete with veterans. Lakers have eliminated the Nuggets in 2020, 2009 and 1985.

I am happy 😊 because Nikola Jokic is a regular season NBA player not a playoff performer.
