I made this comment elsewhere, but this is my impression about how this awful MVP “race” went this year:
A couple months ago /r/nba had a couple back-to-back posts clearly meant to make Jokic look foolish on defense. I believe it was a coordinated effort, and of course it worked because Reddit. Anyway, it broke my heart, and I muted /r/nba. That’s when I knew the MVP race was over.
