I get why Monty was fired, and that changes had to be made. I do question if the key players on the team are simply just not clutch and do not perform well under pressure. 🤔.
"He's a phenomenal coach." Clearly, that's why he was fired. Great insight! He's a fantastic person. He's a good coach. What he brought to PHX was great, but a phenomenal coach? No. He lost 4 straight in the finals. The Suns have now been humiliated in two consecutive seasons in the playoffs (absolute blowouts) AT HOME!!! His squad gave up a 10-0 run to the Nuggets in Game 6 and he didn't bother calling a TO. Denver then went on a 17-0 run. He was horrible at rotating his guys. He failed at coaching H8on — whom I hope they trade. He plays with a sprained vagina. There's a team out there that will take his contract. Get rid of him. He's a cancer.

Yikes. Looks like your 43 year old billionaire owner doesn’t value true leadership. I don’t care if you guys lost 0-4 in round one, Monty Williams is an incredible leader and role model for years to come.
He is not a bad coach. Not the type of coach of the year, either. He is not good at rotating players at crucial moments. It means he is not good at analyzing his players’ conditions. That is why the games collapsed by failing to bring the momentum. The 4th quarter scheme was effective, though. When it was revealed, the Sun struggled. DA fiasco wasn’t completely DA’s fault.

Sam Cassell has experience being an assistant and title winning player would be a great choice and has point guard insight which it seems to translate to winning players turned coaches.

You're probably giving Monty too much credit for the Sun's success. Remember, Monty's first season and PHX was still in shambles. Biggest credit goes to CP3 who, upon arrival, turned the franchise around into a contender. Book is the Sun's best player, but CP3 was the most valuable player. CP3 showed Book what real toughness is.
I think this team gave up on Monty.
