Jimmy Butler after the Miami Heat’s Game 7 loss to Boston last year: “Next year, we will have enough, and we’re gonna be right be right back in this same situation and we’re gonna get it done.”

Obviously the odds are against Miami in this upcoming series, but the fact that Miami is even in this position as the eighth seed, in the Eastern Conference Finals *again*, against Boston *again*.

If Miami somehow pulls it off, this clip from last year will definitely make the rounds.

I’ll bet on playoff Jimmy to get it done all day every day. I have faith

  2. Competitive_Quiet179

Jimmy needs to be healthy if they are gonna have any chance.

He did not look good towards the end of the Knicks series

  3. KYRIE542

I hate y’all, this series gonna give me anxiety. You guys are tough and have the dawg that the sixers lack despite the talent difference.

  4. Damptoe

I hope he’s getting lots of kissies on his ankle. Let’s go Jimmy.

  5. Compare this to the Sixers throwing someone under the bus every year. Culture matters.

  6. ChannelNeo

It’s gonna be another close series, but I have Celtics in 6.

  7. No_Stay4471

Jimmy deserves a ring. This is the only time I will root for the Heat.

  8. MyPhillyAccent

How do people like this exist?

Uncontacted tribes in the Amazon smell this dudes basketball blood lust and wonder wtf is happening.

If the Heat win, this clip goes down as one of the most legendary post game pressers ever

  10. timetravellingoblin

I’m taking the Heat in this series. The Celtics are just way too inconsistent. Unlike Philly, the Heat will know how to close it out when the time comes. It’s gonna be a Heat vs Nuggets finals. Nuggets in 6.

Jimmy really shows how if you overperform in the playoffs, everyone likes you. Except whoever plays against you.

Not hating but I truly was hoping the Heat never made the playoffs this year, it seems like they always give us hell.since the bubble. We were sitting comfortably top 3 in the east and it looked like they’d missed the playoffs. Once they beat the Bucks I knew we were not going to the finals without getting through them. Behold were in the ECF again where they lost last season by 1 shot. Whoever wins out the East imo wins it all.

  13. laxmagic

this is gonna depend on tatum if hes finally playing well again and game 7 wasnt a mirage.

  14. KyrieLS777

They have the exact same team, but they added Kevin Love. And now they don’t have Herro.

Celtics have a better team than last year.

I think this will be a highly competitive series because this heat team is not a true 8th seed. They are a great team and a great coached team. If the Celtics are locked in, then they should win the series. They should know better by now, you can’t fuck around with the heat. They will make you pay.

  15. junkit33

On paper it’s Celtics in 4 or 5. Add in Butler and the Celtics masochistic tendency to make things harder than they need to be, and it will go to 6.

  16. rapelbaum

The zombie Heat is coming to win it all

    Jimbo have SPOken

    In Jimbo we trust

    This is the way

  17. Capable_Anybody_6774

The Heat are going to need to replicate last year’s ball pressure forcing turnovers and rely on the Celtics’ maddening tendency to cough up games that they should win.

As a Celtic fan, with the Finals 4 games away, I’m hoping and praying that this team finally cuts the shit and displays the much needed ruthlessness to just put this team that they are clearly better than away in 5 to 6…

But I’m mentally girding myself for 7.

  18. Pink_Sky_

And this is the guy that espn thinks a 3% chance of going to the finals hahahaha

  19. LoudRise858

Celtics are beating Miami in a gentlemen sweep

  20. Eespinoza10

If jimmy and heat win the series it would be something huge for butler legacy

  21. Sartheking

If they pull this off that quote will be legendary.

  22. Tunatron_Prime

Fuck man fucking leave us alone. We’re already ready for anxiety and a 7-game series because Jimmy really is Himmy

  23. AmbitionExtension184

Unfortunately with injuries they’re worse than last season and the Celtics are healthier. This time last year smart and timelord were battling injuries and missing multiple games

  24. HS941317

He also said the heat were gonna win game 7 after their game 6 win last season

  25. chomcham

Jimmy Butler is sacrificing his ankle to win a championship. He got 2-3 more years at best. At this point it is sheer will that is leading him. It would be unfortunate if he does not win a championship. I really feel he is one of the few players who has the mental fortitude to overcome injury.

  26. CraigOfWar

Hell yeah. Destroy them Leprechauns please.

  27. New_Essay_4869

Theres not many players I fear more than playoff Jimmy Butler

  28. letr1xter

Jim fucking Butler, if he says so he does so.

  29. w3bCraw1er

I know people hate Cs. Jimmy is 8th seed. People like underdogs. Jimmy is fan and media favorite.

Can’t wait for Cs to send him home soon so these posts will stop.

  30. French-Snack

The hollywood story just lines up too nicely for Miami… Doubted all season, lost in the Playin, kicked the Bucks, possible revenge on Boston. Butler the ultimate competitor carrying the Heat to a rematch of the bublle against LA and getting a ring…
    It’s sus

  31. Dunbar247

Jimmy Butler is a Hall of Famer. More and more people are becoming aware of this now

  32. _aspiringadult

I’m a Knicks fan but you can’t help but root for Jimmy as long as he’s not murdering your team

  33. DrJOxford

Celtics play around too much. Jimmy is coming in HOT.

  34. Kunundrum85

As much as a classic Lakers/Celtics series sounds fun…. I really want to see Jimmy win one. The dude runs on pure heart and soul. He IS basketball.
