The biggest difference in this series is going to be the supporting casts. If Tatum has a bad night the Cs have Smart, JB, White, and Brogdon to step up the offense. If Jimmy isn’t scoring then who do they turn to, Gabe Vincent, Max Struss? With Herro and Oladipo out it’ll be tough going for the Heat. Bam is going to have a HEALTHY Timelord to deal with this year and Big Al!

JTs only issue has been consistency, but then again butler did not play great against the knicks. Both are great players in their own way. With that said id take JT for his 3-point shooting (when is good) and because of defense/rebound ability, not dragging down Jimmy he’s still a great player
My annoyance of people' nonstop meat riding of Jimmy butler. We gonna act like he doesn't have a truckload of mid playoff performances. Go look at his Chicago years. He wasn't killing like this his one year in Minnesota or in Philly. They only talk about butler when he these great performances. When he's mid they just look over it and make excuses

The only thing Jimmy is better than Tatum is slashing to the rim, he gets alot of points because he knows how to draw fouls and get in the free throw line, if Tatum goes to the free throw line as much as all this NBA stars go, he would average 35 a game easily every game

Jimmy Butler was putting up Grant Williams stats at Tatum’s age. People talk like Jimmy has multiple rings.😂 Tatum has never been that bad in the first half of games in the playoffs before, why is Curran acting like this is a common occurrence? Jimmy Butler had duds in the ECF last season too. And he didn’t even play great against the Knicks. Tatum is averaging 30/9/5 in the playoffs all while being the best scorer, rebounder, playmaker & best defensive player on his team. Curran is a dope.😂

Is this a serious question? After just one great game? As a celtics fan I'll take Butler all day every day in the playoffs. Tatum doesn't have that killer MJ, Kobe or now Butler mentality. It was Mother's day so he balled out for his mom. Butler doesn't even let series go to 7. I bet Tatum doesn't have a game like this again this season. While Butler will and you can count on that. Replace Tatum with Butler last Finals and you don't got no unfinished business bs this year.

So Jimmy is Jimmy without Herro. Heat have a couple guys. But if Jimmy goes down and can't do minutes, they're pretty much hit. The Celtics are loaded and improved from last season. Tatum has a bad game or Bown, Celtics are still coming at you. Butler averaged more minutes per game than Tatum or Brown. He has to play those minutes.
People forget that last year horford had covid and rob Williams was coming off a injury and not 100%

playoff jimmy and tatum are pretty neck n neck in my opinion, tatum has a higher ceiling while jimmy has a higher floor. i would give the advantage to tatum because jimmy is kinda banged up and tatum is a better overall defender, plus he's been getting a ton of rebounds as of late.
