Surprised he said it over two days before tip off

/r/heat was praying we would go small ball so this is probably not great for them. Then again /r/heat also actively wants Bam Adebayo to guard JT on the perimeter at all times (?!?!) so take whatever they say with a grain of salt lmfao

Interesting. So I guess we’ll start with Rob on K Love? Then Al on Bam, then our matchup of choice of the Jays and Smart on Butler, Vincent, Strus.

Can’t say I love the Rob on Love matchup and potentially giving him open corner 3s, but the Heat are a small team that prefers someone like Lowry or Martin on the court instead of Love. If we can dominate the boards with Rob we may force them to play Love more than they want to, which will in turn give them a total dud on defense that we can attack.

hopefully with Al and Rob both can help limit the production and efficiency of Bam. Idk when or if Herro will play in this series but imo in any Heat series, i am always afraid / watch out for Butler, Herro, Lowry, Bam in that order. Vincent/Martin is a toss for me, depends on who’s making their 3s.

I think generally we do pretty well against Bam. If i remember correctly, he was pretty inconsistent last year in the playoffs.

Hope to see Grant on the court this series

This is potentially a really dumb question but Gallinari is now listed as a game time decision.

If he is healthy enough to play is there any chance we see him in the playoffs?

Or do you hold him out because he hasn’t played competitive ball for months, doesn’t have the history with the team, hasn’t properly “gel’d”?

Curious when Miami goes back to a smaller lineup this series to counter the two bigs.

Love has been unproductive from 3 these playoffs outside of the first round, shooting only 7-29 v NY and 5-24 so far in May.

Love also does not sit in the corner like Tucker, with only 14% of his 3PT attempts this postseason coming from that area shooting 25% on those shots.

Watching him and bam go at it in the key is going to be entertaining as hell

We need to have White and Smart in the lineup for Lowry
