Zach Lowe of The Lowe Post went on to ESPN and brought up the idea of the Knicks not trading for Karl-Anthony Towns or Damian Lillard and going all-in for Joel Embiid. This is what he said, “Joel loves Philly, Philly loves him…I think it would be very very hard for him to follow the superstar…forcing my way outta here model…But if James leaves…don’t know what’s gonna happen but…If I’m the Knicks, all these KAT rumors are gonna start now–forget that. I have a good team. I have Brunson, he’s an awesome PG, why am I upending my team for Damian Lillard if he ever becomes available, I’ve got a PG. Joel Embiid is a better center than Mitch Robinson. He has scored more points, played more game, and better defender than Robinson.
Get Embiid in a trade to replace Robinson. Might cost a lot in that trade.
