Embid is a superstar, but i don’t think he’s the right superstar for the knicks, to me they are a jaylon Brown star or booker like star from competing for a ring, not a center..you need that 2/3 guy that can shoot and defend

Embiid is great at getting a team to the playoffs but with what we’d need to give up, we’d probably just end up losing in the 2nd round again. It doesn’t sound right, but I don’t think adding the reining mvp moves our championship needle based on our roster

I know there are injury concerns about Embiid and about how long his prime can last, but at some point we can’t keep passing on stars. You have a limited amount of time with the young guys on the contracts that they’re signed to and with Brunson and Randle on cheap deals. At some point you gotta take a swing.

Other viable options would be KAT for Julius & picks or wait one more summer for PHX to implode and go after Booker.
Otherwise we’re running it back & hoping the young guys continue to improve. I think grimes, iQ, Obi & RJ all have another level ahead of them to get to, which could be dope, but Julius kinda blocks RJ & Obi from getting there completely.

I couldn’t imagine trading the farm and then getting a game 7 level of performance out of Joel. Dude is constituently hurt and gets worse the deeper he gets into the playoffs. I know I am bout to get roasted but those are my thoughts
