The Portland Trailblazers got the #3 pick in the NBA draft lottery on Tuesday and that could have serious ramifications for the rest of the NBA. It doesn’t appear they are willing or wanting to draft a young player there but would instead want to see if they can immediately improve the roster around Damian Lillard.
If that were to be the case, there’s a very real scenario in which they could dangle that pick for someone like Mikal Bridges. It makes a lot of sense from the Blazers point of view and if it happened would leave Sean Marks and the Nets with a fascinating decision.

bridges is nice..but knowing that blazers struggle rebounding..brindges brings no confidence in boosting rebounding nor scoring 20+ alongside dame and Grant..

Sorry your KD/Kyrie/Harden superteam failed and I wish u luck but we're not throwing the best asset weve had since 2006 away cuz Dame likes Bridges. Cronin was under tremendous pressure to trade Sharpe last year & didn't. He won't dump #3 either. We're taking Miller. #23, 43, future picks & Simons might be on the table but not #3 in the most stacked draft since 03.

For the sake of fantasy talk, and not because I believe it would happen, the Nets should go nuclear. I'm sure there are some fans that think we should start with the coaching staff by firing JV and hiring Nick Nurse and he bring in his own assistants. Never mind the perception that would present. Trade Dinwiddie, DFS, O'Neale, Harris, Thomas, Mills, Cam J, Bridges, and Sharpe. We'll keep Claxton and DDJ. We'll keep Ben because he have no trade value. The remainder of the roster could be filled out with the players acquired in the trades and the draft picks. We'll get a fresh start with mostly new faces. This strategy would make us a lottery team for years thus helping the Rockets. Good luck with that Marks.
I'm hoping Sean Marks don't get distracted by the availability of flashy, shiny guards and small forwards this summer.. His recent experience with that turned into fool's gold. Is he going to stick with this group? We might as well go nuclear if we trade Bridges.
Damian Lillard is my favorite player of all time… but it’s time to move on. If we get Scoot we have our PG of the future. If we get Miller we would have Shaedon, Simons, and Miller to build around. Sheesh that is a great young core. Let Dame go get a ring now and set us up for a ring in the future 🙂
The Nets are better off trading DFS and O’Neale and getting some firsts/young guys back and build around Mikal, both Cams, Clax, and whoever they bring in with trades and in the draft

I think Simons, the 3rd, and a far future 1st seems fair, I know Mikal has a lot of value but as my guy bombtradey said there’s a 0% chance of the Blazers offering Simons, Sharpe, and the 3rd!!!!!!
Maybe also throw in a couple 2nds or Nasir Little or maybe Nurkic or some combination of that for Claxton if the Nets are willing.
@locked on nets i dont think nets trade bridges, they would be a lottery team without bridges. simons is young and can get you some points but he is one of the worst defenders in the league. i dont think you get sharpe in the deal either. it would likely be simons filler and the number 3 pick for bridges. also bridges by himself wont make the blazers a playoff team even. they got too many holes on that team and most of their players play bad or no defence. for blazers to make playoffs they gotta do a block buster for a number 2, and two bench players that can hit the 3 and play defence. also if the nets trade bridges they wont get any advertising revenue and very little tv revenue as they will be a lottery team in a big market with no pick coming for the reward.
nets need to focus on getting rid of simmons and getting a point guard in off season. you get rid of bridges no one is gonna watch the games.
your ideal sign and trade is fred vanvleet for ben simmons, but you likely have to give a pick and maybe a young player for them to eat his salary.

Claxon is being seen as useful to some teams. The Nets are not getting anything done…so they are going to loose some of whatever good they have.

Would the nets be interested in KJ Martin, 4th pick, 20th pick, 24 26 nets picks, and 25 27 pick swaps for mikal bridges, Finney-Smith, 22nd pick, 25 27 pick swaps and Claxton?
I listen to a few blazers podcast. Most of them have no faith in the GM to get this right They think shaedon Sharp or Simmons is going to be traded Dame wants to play with OG – Pascal – Jared vanderbilt – bridges I might have left some names out – but I do believe that third round pick is going into a trade and I think to Toronto especially if Vanfleet is wanting out
I can see Portland shopping the 3rd pick around, but if I were them, I’d shop Dame and rebuild with young talent. I can’t see the Nets trading Bridges. If they do that, they would likely dump a lot more players as well and rebuild from scratch. Not at all likely imo.
😂lol No Keep Dreaming. Bridges aint that good. They got in the playoffs because the east is weak like its always been. Except for giannis and tatum, no player in the east poses a challenge. You overvaluing bridges theres a reason sun traded him. Best package for Mikal is Anfernee, future first and second and bunch of fillers. You guys realize Anfernee is really good right. had it not been for lillard being on the team, anfernee simons will shine. Nets is getting a star in the making player in anfernee to start their rebuild. Nets will never be good with just bridges, cam, claxton hahaha better start tanking. Blazers can choose to trade lillard and add more talent to their young core. Blazers dont have to trade anyone. This is just bad trade
