  1. The Spurs or Portland would have been the 2 places that I was going to be happy with him going too

  2. I am glad it was the Spurs got him. You know they will develop him the right way. Unrealised potential dramatically decrease for this kid as soon as Spurs got that pick. With Pop and Duncan as coaches, they will teach him the right way. Spurs have a strong culture. Only spurs and Miami where the coaches and front office have the confidence of telling players to follow the coach or you are out. There will be no pampering and babysitting like Ben Simmons and Joel. No entitlement like Trae and Ja. No bad habits like Luka and Harden.
He won't be spoilt by the franchise or allowed to be influenced by outside distinctions.
They will build around him with the right mentors, coaches and players. He will have the voice of spur lifers and Frenchman like Tony Parker and Boris Diaw guiding him through the good and bad moments.

  3. They’ve been planning for him for the past 2 years. They built a team for him.

  4. Imagine a world that gets a generation power forward…Timmy 2.0

  5. I'm not a fan of rewarding lousy teams, the Cavs come to mind, but he's going to the right place. He can develop in near anonymity and get coached by arguably the best coach in league.

  6. THE GREATEST DRAFT PROSPECT? 😂😂😂😂 LEBRON? SHAQ? BIRD? MAGIC JOHNSON? These ESPN hype men are doing too much

  7. The Spurs were literally the perfect team for him to end up on. All time great Coach with a culture that actually cares about defense, huge french fan base due to Tony Parker, plenty of picks/capital to build around him going forward
