Cool but I will give him props if we learn and win next game

Too late of an adjustment
Austin_Reaves
I’m really liking playoff ham, Not afraid to make adjustment even mid game

We saw Rui locking KAT before, hoped we go for this sooner.
dgzero3
His adjustment came too late. How does it take that long to realize that 3 guard lineups won’t work on a bigger Denver team.
SolubleAcrobat
Fuck off with this.
Resident_Frame
Never should have been an adjustment. He’s the reason the lakers are down 1
___FreePalestine___
Everyone and their mothers knew we couldn’t play a 3 guard lineup against this team. Idk wtf he was thinking in that first half.
JeMelon13
Finding out Rui can bother Jokic and AD be the help is gold early on in this series. DLo might have just given up his 20-28 mins per night, he’s down right unplayable against a fast Nuggets team.
Dicey12
I still think it was stupid to start Dennis. Put Dlo on KCP and Reaves on Murray and start someone in the frontcourt.
jmiranda511
Nah, he started the half with the same bullshit lineup he started the game with. The adjustment needed to be made when he realized Jokic had 16 rebounds at the half and the whole Lakers team had 13. His adjustments were too little, too late.
mr-fiend
He should have started Rui. Starting 3 guards was fucking retarded and put is in a hole.
Manny21_
Time to start Rui!!
ngmathew1234
Not today, that 3 guard lineup was dumb and playing it for so long was one of reasons we lost that game. Hopefully, he plays more Rui/Vando in the next game.
KingNephew
An adjustment to his dumb ass starting lineup.
MrAppleSpoink
No, you don’t get credit when the adjustment is A: blatantly obvious and B: you waited until the 4th to make it.
sweethon11
L for this post. His adjustments were too late.
LeGJOaT69966996
This loss is on him playing that short 3 guard lineup
dadadayy
Baldie should have adjusted earlier.

Me thinking about Game 2

We all knew this is what he should’ve done. He put us in the hole thinking a 6’4 reaves could guard mpj
TVloverCam
Why? Too late
No_Passenger_9385
21 points is hard for any team to come back from.. lakers in 6

Let’s compare …. It took Boston’s coaching staff 5 games, when they were already down 3-2, to make the switch to a bigger lineup vs the Sixers.
Ham did it in one half, then made the second adjustment to move Rui onto Jokic.
Them obviously saw something on film that made them convinced a 3 guard lineup would work. Nuggets have struggled with that earlier in the season, because they’re typically not great with dribble penetration. A lot of credit coming off the game plan and giving them a chance to steal that one.

People crying too much especially at halftime. Game 1 away is exactly when you want to be trying out lineups and tactics. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. It was worth the gamble. After the Rui adjustment we cut a 21-point deficit to 3 without even really trying that hard. Came up short at the end but you live with that.
alphonseelric2
This piss poor sub ain’t gonna do that. You know the rule, shit on coaches every time the Lakers play like shit.
This same stupid ass sub wanted Vogel now after they had a victory parade when the Lakers fired him.
Sayomom
Criticism should still be awarded. Why he thought a small ball lineup against a towering Denver was a good idea is beyond me. Crazy to think DLo gets so much runtime with how inconsistent and abysmal he’s been on D
Anfini
The adjustments came too late. But I think we all can see that our club can beat the Nuggets. I hope the adjustment can be on immediately for game 2, which means more minutes for Rui and less double teams on Jokic.
Comfortable_Bath3609
Give credit my ass. Him being stupid enough yo put 3 guards in the second half is beyond me. Rui was cooking offensively and Ham benched him every time Rui gets hot. This guy is still a clown.
Working_Rent_9714
I can’t commend him. He is too fixated on the three guard. What was he thinking all halftime?
ahyiah
ill give him credit for correcting his mistakes but my god, does he really need to try that 3-guard lineup every time? at what point do you realize that.. hey, maybe its not so good? as soon as he stopped that, we came back.
also related.. dlo’s defense is beyond non-existent right now
sbenfsonw
Should’ve figured it out pregame instead of starting the three guards
Literal podcast guys and people on Reddit knew it before the lakers staff
Rather than give credit, I think he should be criticized for doing it so late. Doing it earlier than the 4th and they win this game
MambaJiren
We’re down 0-1 because of him. Fuck that.
rickydcm
Our transition defense has been inconsistent so far in this playoffs and it was so obvious today. We typically start slow and the Nuggets really lived by the 3. I expect them to be cold in the coming games, as they say “you live by the 3, you die by the 3”
Lakerman0824
Not really everyone knew the 3 guard line up was terrible idea yet he started with it and after being down 20 did it Agsin after halftime
