[Wojnarowski] Ja Morant statement: “I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.”

Nothing says accountability like trying to dump this late when a conference finals game is tightening up in the 4th quarter.

  16. Hey chatgpt, generate an apology letter for Ja:

    > I want to make it clear that my actions were inexcusable and do not reflect the values or principles that I believe in or that this sport represents. I realize that as an NBA player, I am held to a higher standard, both on and off the court, and I acknowledge that I let myself and my fans down.
    >
    > I want to emphasize that the display of a firearm was not only illegal but also highly irresponsible. It was an impulsive decision fueled by a misguided attempt at showing extravagance, and I deeply apologize for the fear and concern it may have caused. I assure you that I have learned a significant lesson from this incident, and I will work hard to make amends and grow from this experience.
    >
    > I am committed to being a positive role model for the younger generations, and I understand the influence I have on those who look up to me. I pledge to use this as an opportunity for personal growth and to become a better person, both on and off the court.
    >
    > Moving forward, I will be taking the necessary steps to rectify the situation. This includes cooperating fully with any legal authorities involved and participating in programs that promote responsible behavior and educate about the dangers of firearms.
    >
    > Lastly, I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you, my fans, for your unwavering support. I understand that trust must be earned, and I am dedicated to regaining that trust through my actions and by consistently upholding the values we all hold dear. I apologize sincerely for my actions, and I promise to do better. I appreciate your understanding and continued support.
    >
    > Sincerely,
    >
    > Ja

Pure PR gobbledygook written by someone else. GTFO with that nonsense.

  18. FieldsFanclub

No one cares about the apology your PR team wrote up

  19. whitefang0824

Who would still believe this dude? Lol

  20. A journey? Work to do?

Fuck off with that. You didn’t fall back into substance abuse, or struggle with your anger issues. You’re fake-hard and carrying/flashing a firearm in ways that are inappropriate. Quit it.

  21. Vhemvhol

He wrote this while holding a gun in his hand

  22. thefranchise305

That piece is talking to him like the Green Goblin mask

  23. CharlesDingus_ah_um

  24. JeremyK_980

Dude acting like he’s fighting an addiction when he’s just a moron.

  25. yousurebouthatswhy

Ja setting the precedent for our boy Mikey Williams.

Off topic, but Mikey is facing criminal charges that carry a potential 20 year sentence and he deleted his instagram for all of 3 weeks. He’s already back to posting pictures of cars, money, and beach days. These wannabe gangsters truly live the most sheltered lives.

  26. HotdogIsaSandwitch

Mannnn, shut the hell up with this goofy ass statement. You don’t believe it.

  27. Everswift_

On one hand, Ja, stfu already. And I dont wanna hear none mental health and meditation excuses cause mfs like him ridicule the actual problems of people struggling with mental illnesses.

On the other hand, with enough evidence already out there for everyone to see, he clearly has a severe alcohol problem and lacks a proper support system around him. This sucks, and for him as a human, I hope he can actually reflect and overcome this. but, as people with experience around other struggling humans know: you can only help someone else if they themselves want to be better and accept the help. Otherwise, its a waste of time.

  28. varabdel

Why does he and some in the memphis organization keep talking about this shit like he’s addicted to coke or some shit? This dude getting withdrawals if he’s not constantly waving his gun around? Come on isn’t a “journey” just stop being an idiot

  29. Alchion

    he‘s right,

    his words don‘t mean shit
