Yup heard this in the press conference. Morey seems like he wants to double down on keeping Joel. Only way we blow it up is if Joel wants out….ngl I think this is the best option if Harden walks

McDaniels didn’t help us for shit in the 2nd round, he was removed from the playoff rotation for being so invisible. Maybe Thybulle could’ve at least locked down Tatum/Brown and helped out.

McDaniels couldn’t even really get in the rotation in round 2. Maybe that’s on Doc, maybe Daryl sucks at the deadline. Would have been nice to try to put Thybulle out there to bother literally anyone
So he’s mad that a guy got traded, even though it made sense. He plays like he’d rather be anywhere on the planet than a basketball court in a GAME 7…Gets mad the coach was fired? What the fuck?
Embiid is really annoying me right now. He keeps reiterating he’s not involved in decision making, or he’s glad he doesn’t have to make decisions, or will stay out it yada yada. Then you hear of him being unhappy? Dude has an accountability problem. Either get involved and be active as the teams star player, or stop complaining when things don’t go the way you think they should.
Would Tatum have dropped a 50 burger vs Matisse? In the end, Glenn didn’t play Jalen, so what was the point of trading him?
Maybe we can trade Harden Harris and whatever draft picks for Dame, Thybulle and salary matching role players. Dosen’t make the most sense in the world, but we’d have a fun team.
I think Morey made it obvious that Embiid has personal feelings about seeing teammates go, or Doc falling on the sword for the team flaming out again. Players build friendships and the part where a good friend gets sent away because the team isn’t succeeding has to suck about professional sports. Especially since Embiid seems to feel like he carries the load for the team, so if he’s not performing, people lives get impacted (NBA millionaire impacted, but still…)
But Embiid also fully gets how team building works and has a GM brain that understands why they were the right moves to make. Everyone just wants to jump on any quote that they think will manifest a trade request right now.
We are pretty upset how Embiid played in the playoffs.
Part of the reason thybulle was traded was because doc didn’t trust him ( and to get under the tax). Yet embiid liked Doc and wanted him to stay. Cant have it both ways. You can’t keep a guy the coach wont pay if that’s the difference between being under or over the tax. It hamstrings future seasons.
Just another player that doc refused to develop that will probably be a good player for Portland

I think embiid is upset about too many things too easily, except his own poor play when it ultimately matters
So he doesn’t like this or us firing doc yea he’ll ask out if Miami loses for sure
