    Doc firing was based on Janet Jackson's song "What Have You Done For Me Lately". Doc being a player coach hurt him as well. Celtics won the chip bcuz KG kept all of the players focused. Sixers didn't have that Ingredient.

    Harden seemed to be more concerned about what club was Poppin and who had the best lemon-peppered wings.

    Love what Harden did with the shooting survivor so I know he can do better on the court.

    Embid is too talented to be so invisible in big games. Might as well be 6'-5" the way he plays on the offensive end.

    You can’t fire the team so the coach has to take the fall. Just how it is. He knew it was coming. He will be fine.

    There's no way firing the coach is the answer for your 2 stars not showing up in game 6 at home and the MVP saying "we need help". Sounds like a player failure…

    Doc made some mistakes one of the biggest was letting Harden go to Vegas during the playoffs. If he need to gamble is that deep it sounds like a gambling addiction to me… What if he dropped the ball on purpose so he help out with those betting on the game!

    Also, to me it is crazy that a player that has quit on two previous teams, his current team, and has made it be knowing before the end of the playoffs he wants to go to Houston is the one that Sixers organization and commentators are trying to hold on to. He cost the team and the city MILLIONS! Harden should have been let go Embiids, and any other player that doesn’t want to listen to the coach. There are other players in the NBA that are coachable.

    The NBA and multiple teams keep taking Ls when it comes to players doing whatever they want and the blame being put on everyone else. Poor character and leadership are two major issues within the NBA. And they lack ownership and accountability. So the coach of the Gizzlies should still have his job over DOC? The commissioner giving passes to the most problematic and fining others for nothing, why does he still have his job if everything rises and falls on leadership?

    Absolutely right decision! Rivers is overrated coach. All those stack teams for all those years and only one championship.

    I’m a lifetime Philly fan. This team isn’t winning anything. We dont have the character needed to win. Our championship hopes ended when we let Jimmy Buckets walk out the door.

    I guess the general public doesn't know JJ Redick has never been a Doc Rivers fan. JJ Redick wants Doc's job quiet as kept though. A coach can only put you in position to win. They can't win it for you. Doc keeps getting chances because who can remember when he coached a team that has not been in championship contention, let alone missed the playoffs.

    Doc is a good coach not great though he won (A) Ring. He is very poor with accepting his flaws as a coach.
