I stopped respecting Embiid since the Simmons incident, and I’m glad to see I was right. First thing dude did in the press conference after talking about the front office was say “me and Harden can’t win alone.” First Brett Brown, then Simmons, now everyone but him and Harden; dude doesn’t know what accountability is. And to say that after playing like dogshit makes it look even worse.
And it doesn’t help that his mentality is being reinforced by his coach, who also blamed Simmons, and then blamed the entire team when they lost in a REGULAR SEASON game like last year (or maybe the year before, these seasons go by fast so I lost track).
Worst MVP in league history.

I Blame Harden more than Embiid because he is running the offense. Its his job to get Embiid going….Harris going…..Maxey going. If you wanna drop 45 and be THAT GUY, then you can't disappear afterwards. This has always been the knock on Harden. As a center, its easier for the the defense to key on you and take you out of the game. thats when other guys need to step up and make the defense Honest. Finally I do blame both DOC and the SIxers organisation for continuing to let embiid stray out to the three point line. Embiid should be playing the way Davis is now. DEFENSE…. REOUNDING….and finishing plays. Not initiating plays….Feed Embiid the ball in spots to finish the play. Make the game easier for him.
Of course people forget Embiid chokes. ESPN will spend the next month pointing at everyone but Embiid. Idiots like Perkins will say hes right to throw everybody else under the bus.

That offensive system requires so much effort and independent shot making ability that it just can't work once the defense figures them out.
Rivers played a six man rotation until the game was out of reach. He did nothing to try and slow down to Celtics, nor did he try to speed up when they put two bigs out there. Darvin Ham adjusted to take away any advantage the Warriors had offensively (more Schroeder) and defensively (less Vanderbilt). I hope Rivers never head coaches another NBA team. As someone who watched his tenure on the Orlando Magic in real time, I've been waiting for this for a long time.

Embiid is overrated. Not a top 5 player in the league, never was. Probably not even top 10. Jokic, LeBron, Giannis, Luka, Curry, and Tatum are definitely better basketball players than him. AD, KD, Butler, Booker, Trae, Dame,… and a few other players I would choose to build around before Embiid. He’s a loser who blames others, doesn’t admit his mistakes and consequently never learns. Compare his post game interview after his embarassing loss to KD’s and you will see why KD is a superstar and why Embiid isn’t.

Harden and Embiid have always been soft and will continue to be until they retire.
You cannot approach and dominate playoff ball like you would in the regular season where you can just steamroll over teams on talent alone. In a 7 games series all your strengths and weakness are known by the opponent. The playoffs require more planning and adjustments. Once teams know how they will stop Embiid, Embiid cannot seem to make the adjustments to raise his level of play.
