Doc had to go sixers need more athletism and better player movement plus Doc got a pass for a few more yrs could if been gone after that Hawks series loss

This is unfair. This man deserves longevity.
I didn't see Doc make adjustments in game 7. He should have benched some players and tried something else instead of going with what wasn't working. They should pair Mark Jackson and Doc Rivers in the broadcast booth next year so Jackson can jump him when Doc says something stupid. I can hear Mark Jackson now, "Dam Doc, no wonder you got fired if you think that".
They needed a change in culture. Doc's known for underperforming in playoffs and throwing blame on his players. Embiid doing the same thing with his post game presser, avoiding blame.

Funny how all these teams fired there coaches for not making in game adjustments and there potential replacements are coaches from other teams fired for the exact same reason.
Doc rivers isnt the problem. The players just suck. Joel at times dont wanna be aggressive and James Harden is James Harden. 🤦♂️ the only other good players we have are DeAnthony Melton and Tyrese Maxey. Everybody else can go.

What VC isn't understanding is that it was championship or bust for 3 years under Doc. He knew this, he spoke about it in his introductory conference. If they didn't at least make it past the second round, he didn't take it further than Brett Brown did.
He created a system that made Embiid the engine that drove this team, but that was counterproductive in the long run in the playoffs. The only thing that came out of it was making Joel Embiid an MVP candidate.
It was a failure of a tenure and nothing more.
