Yeah someone’s gonna have to explain this to me. We have an aging core and a star in his prime- we are in win-now mode. Why are we interviewing candidates with no head coaching experience? I legit don’t understand the “due diligence” reasoning everyone keeps bringing up.

I thought it only made sense to fire Bud if we quickly grabbed Nurse, the only option out there who’s actually won a ring recently

I had an interview too, let me know if you guys need any help preparing for yours!

I’m surprised people are acting like it’s easy to know who the good coaches are. Especially if the bar we’re trying to beat is Bud, who is objectively one of the top 10 coaches in the NBA.

Let’s assume for a sec that there is an assistant coach somewhere in the NBA who has what it takes to be a HOF head coach. How would you know which one? Since you aren’t there in all the opposing locker rooms, are you basing it off of game film of them sitting on the bench during a game?

I think at the end of the day, you have to bring in anyone who wants to interview and have a long conversation with them to even begin to understand who has potential.

With head coaches there’s more information available, but obviously not enough since coaches get fired every 2-5 years almost without exception.

They’re likely trying to get as much information as possible about the team as well. They ask all of thee guys what they’d do, what they think the Bucks did wrong, what moves they’d make, etc.

Even if they don’t plan to hire a guy getting as much info as possible doesn’t hurt

Becky Hammon…someone has to do it, might as well be us.
